Whats the difference between blue and yellow packaging of dasuquin
Answer by ChewyDec 22, 2020
Dasuquin with MSM is a comprehensive joint health supplement for dogs. It has the same ingredients as Dasuquin, but with the addition of MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl-methane). MSM is a naturally-occurring form of sulfur compound that is produced by ocean planktons. One of the most important functions of MSM is its effectiveness to relieve pain and inflammation.

Is the Dasuquin Soft Chews the same as Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews?
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2018
The Nutramax Dasuquin Soft Chews Joint Health Large Dog Supplement is not the same as the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews. the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews contain MSM, while this supplement does not contain MSM. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) has been promoted as having powerful anti-inflammatory and pain reducing properties, blocking the pain perception in certain nerve fibers before the pain impulse reaches the brain. Typically it is given to pets with arthritis who are experiencing pain.

This has avocado in it. Thought dogs cant have that?
Answer by ChewySep 20, 2018
The stem, leaves, pit, and peel of an avocado are not safe for dogs, however, avocado oil is a risk-free way to give your dog the benefits of this fruit.

Is there MSM in this product?
Answer by ChewySep 26, 2018
This supplement does not contain MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane). For a complete list of ingredients, click the “Nutritional Info” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos.

Dasuquin has changed its shape and texture for large dog chews

The dasuquin large dog chews are now smaller and much harder than the original chews. They claimed the originals were a soft chew, but they were very hard , and now the new chew is so very hard you can barely break it up. I must grind it into a coffee type ground and mix with my dogs food because he does not like them at all. So I try and hide it in his food along with a bit of meat in his morning meal , he gets 2 ground up chews every day. It was hard to grind the original chews between your fingers, but these new smaller chews are HARD , very HARD. Why can’t the company truly make a SOFT chew, a chew that you can squeeze between your thumb and index fingers. It is ridiculous to call them a soft chew. And I am going to ask my vet for a different medicine, my dog takes pills much better than he does these awful chews. I did manage with the original large dog chews, it was hard , but I tried every morning to do it. But these new supposedly soft chews are so hard you can tap them on the table and they sound like a coin tapping the table , ridiculous, was the change necessary, a simple chore was hard already, but now that simple chore is impossible for me. I might try and put them in the food processor and sprinkle 2 teaspoons into his morning food. Please go back to the old formula, even though they were hard also.

Something Seems Different

My dog won't eat these. I think the taste isn't to her liking. I had this supplement before but I think they changed the formula or something because my baby refuses to eat them. It is a good product and works great I guess I'll see what else they have and hope Tori likes it.

Not what I thought

My dog will not eat these. I didn't realize these are not the ones with MSM. My dog loves those ones.

These are not SOFT CHEWS!

These were recommended by my vet. I was told my dog would love them and they would be easy to chew. My dog is very picky and only likes soft chewy treats so I thought this would be a great way to get these joint meds in him. But he refused to eat them. So I tried to break them up and they are so dry and crumbly and turned into a powder. I am putting them in his food but its has not been very easy to get him to eat them at all.

Very helpful!

My cane corso mix and cockapoo have had great experiences with Dasaquin. My cane corso is 11 and has experienced greater arthritis in the last few years but Dasaquin has been very helpful. My cockapoo is 16.5 years old and is a cancer survivor with a lot of joint issues as she is less active these days. The Dasaquin visibly shows more comfort for them (they both are jumping up more when they see treats coming their way, running around in the backyard, can walk farther on walks). My corso mix just doesn’t like the taste. I have to wrap his in some meat or pill pockets.

Longtime chewy customer

Chewy absolutely never disappoints. The very few times that there’s been a problem with an order, it’s been corrected IMMEDIATELY. They are friendly, courteous and very helpful. Chewy has made my life so much easier.

Dasuquin Soft Chews

I have used these supplements for a long time. Darla is 12 and although she has slowed down she still has pep in her step. Bentley did well also and I had him until he was 10. Lizzie is young and never does anything in slow motion. It's hard to tell with her.

Vet Recommended for Joints

A family members Vet, highly prescribed these. We haven’t taken the recommended dosage for 4-6 weeks yet, but we are seeing an improvement. Dog (100 lbs) is more playful and seems to be moving much better. Plus it’s not a problem giving them to her. We will most likely order again.

DOGS JOINTS AND HEALTH

The dasuquin chews have been a miracle cure for Brier. She is a 9 year white lab and was having trouble getting up and down. I had to get a stool for her to get on the bed and then bought a lower bed frame and she still was having issues. Walked like she was in pain and wasn't interested in her balls or frisbee. Which was a BIG CLUE. After starting the Dasuquin we immediately started noticing a pep in her step. She now jumps on the bed with no problems. She can now keep up with her little sister who is now 2 years old. They play now and chase and run. It has been great to see her feeling better.

Dasuquin Soft Chews are excellent!

The chewy Vet recommended this supplement for my white shepherd to protect his joints! She said it is a higher quality than the supplement I was currently using! Thank You so much chewy for offering this service! My dog loves them!
