Description

Nutramax has combined over ten years of clinical use and research on their joint health supplement Cosequin with their research in advanced joint health ingredients in developing Dasuquin, a cost-effective formulation for dogs. Dasuquin combines NMX1000 ASU (avocado/soybean unsaponifiables) and decaffeinated tea with Cosequin's FCHG49 glucosamine hydrochloride and TRH122 low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate to provide the most comprehensive joint health management formula available for dogs. Dasuquin is a dual synergistic formula: its specific glucosamine hydrochloride and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate have demonstrated synergy in stimulating cartilage matrix production, while ASU also acts synergistically with glucosamine.

  • Great for my adult dog’s joint support

    By on

Clear difference when I ran out of my supply at one point in the past. 7 yr old 60lb dog. Less strain going up & down stairs. Was recommended by someone with similar age/size dog experiencing hip pain. Huge diff as well. I currently do one/day but as she gets older I’m sure maintenance level will be 2. I couldn’t give her common ones found at supply stores because they made her constipated. Vet recommended this brand anyway as he claims this company makes a similar recipe for people (I did not verify this) so it’s higher quality. She’ll take these for life.

  • Always used on our dogs

    By on

My dog has a lot of joint issues from her past owners that has resulted in her going downhill really fast. Using this product has helped us to slowly rehab her back to being that perked up puppy she was when we first picked her up from the park after she got dumped there. I strongly believe that this product is the answer.

  • OK But Not Great

    By on

The "advanced" seems to work much better; however, Chewy only has this, which may or may not be the same company - this product is very mysterious - no list of ingredients, hard to figure out who owns the various "Dasuquin" packages available out there.

  • Good product

    By on

Good product, I bought it for my 10 year old pom. She eats them but I have to break them into quarters due to they are not really chewy but kind of hard I think it does help her knees and joints, she seems to get around better. Super fast shipping!

  • My Dog Digs 'Em

    By on

I add 1/2 of one in my chi chi's dinner bowl every night. He seems to love them. For some reason they don't seem as soft as the Dasuquin chews with MSG. My pooch only has five teeth, so I break it up even more.

  • Just as effective as the Vet brand

    By on

Great product! My Rat terrier needs regular Dasuquin. I tried Nutramax brand after spending MUCH more for the Vet's brand. He didn't miss a step! Running and jumping as much as ever!

  • No more limp!

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

The Vet. put Gracie on this because she was limping at her right hip (she is 13). After about a month or so the limp is gone and she races around like a 2 year old!

  • Joint health is sooo important!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

If you have active doggies, I'd be amazed if at some point they don't have a joint issue--hip or knees especially. Doggie knees are prone to having problems--one wrong turn and they can tear an ACL. Older dogs also develop arthritis and general joint aches and pains. Dasuquin is a wonderful supplement to help strengthen and fortify doggie joints. Having had a dog that's been through a double knee surgery (TTA), I like to keep my active and older dogs on this supplement to help cushion and protect their knees and hips especially. It's safe and veterinarian recommended. Your dog will thank you--and it's a lot cheaper than surgery!!

  • Not Soft Chews

    By on

This is second bag of this supplement given to my puppy with early hip dysplasia. First bag from vet was soft and chewy as they should be. Second bag from Chewy.com contains all hard blocks, not soft and chewy. I can see and hear the difference when given to my puppy as the chews are crumbly like a dog biscuit. Date on bag shows 03/2019, over two years away, so why are they stale and hard? Also resealable top malfunctioned with only the second chew given. Bag can't be sealed, so emptied content into a 1qt food storage bag. Will not purchase this again from Chewy
