I was so excited when I first saw these Dasuquin soft chews for cats advertised. Unfortunately, my cats were not impressed. They at them when I first opened the bag, but the next day, they refused them. And, unfortunately, after the bag was opened, the treats became very hard and dried out, even though I made sure to seal the bag properly when I closed it. Wish these had been a success. It's a great idea, but my cats did not like them.
My cat would not even give this a second sniff! It also says it is a soft chew, well these were hard! I even broke one up and added to his dry kibble, did not touch his regular food at all, He smelled it I guess. Maybe I got an old batch, but these were not for my cat at all! I was disappointed that I was not able to wrap a pill inside this chew...it was not soft enough to do so...and my cat wouldn't have gone for it anyway!
This supplement is awesome noticed my cat not jumping on things sofa, bed, his apparatus gave him one with his hard food...which he spotted right away and put it aside checked bowl hour later it was gone next morning repeated...that evening he was sitting sofa. Giving one daily a week later awoke to him sleeping at the foot of my bed. Now he thinks it's a treat...Thanks Desuquin and Thanks Chewy for quick delivery!!!
This product & the capsule version is a life saver for my older cat. He was to a point of not walking without immense pain. Vet recommended the capsule version of Nutramax. After about 2 weeks, he is so much better. He received 1 capsule in the AM & a soft shew at night. He is happy Stewy again!
My cat used the pill form of this on occasion in her wet food at night when the doctor didn't have cosequin, and she liked it fine. So I thought I'd try it as an option for her morning chew alternative. But after 5 days of trying my cat won't eat these. She eats most anything. But these my cat wouldn't. She keeps picking them up and moving them off the bowl. So try at your own risk.
My cats love these. I use them as pill pockets (they hate the taste of actual Pill Pockets) to hide their meds and they never know it. These chews have been a real stress saver for them and me. I take a few out of the bag so that they'll soften for a few hours then wrap the thyroid pill a chew. They think they're getting a treat. I sometimes have to break one in pieces and place it on top of his prescription canned food to entice him to eat.
I was leary about purchasing chews for a cat, I know how finicky mine can be. My cat was having an arthritis flair in his front wrist areas. For a full bag, I gave him 2 in the morning, and then 2 in the evening. After that, we went down to just 2 in the morning. This, coupled with another product, has really helped his arthritis, and he has not had another flair up. He is limping less. We are continuing to use this, to keep the pain at bay. So far, so good! We are on our 3rd bag now.
Bought this for two of my elderly cats who didn't like the sprinkle version. One of my cats loves them and the other doesn't like them at all.
My cat was sleeping all day an all night. He would not jump or climb After 2 days I took him to the vet who prescribed Dasuquin He is better that ever
My old cat Pitten has not been very mobile, she is about 14 years old. I was told to try Dasuquin to help support joint mobility. She immediately was more mobile, and I have observed her getting around more. She also seems more content and bright, like she feels better.
