Tablets should be given on an empty stomach for optimal absorption. They may be given at least 2 hours after a meal or 1 hour before a meal. The number of tablets administered may be gradually reduced, or increased, at any time at the recommendation of your veterinarian.
Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet’s long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.
If your pet has a medical condition and is taking other medication, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to ensure that this supplement is safe to use.

This product in all of its forms has been a life saver for several of my dogs over the years. Somehow my product was changed from the blister pack with blue tablets to these tan coated bottle of tablets. This product has several storage reuirements and we've had some record breaking heat waves so i checked the temperature in the box when it arrived and it was over 100F degrees and the tablets were melted inside. I also noticed my dog was not feeling well. Anyway, the blister pack tablets seem to be better in the heat. I'm grateful for this product and of course, we all know Chewy is going to make everything okay again. Just a note: please be aware of heat effects on medication shipments.
I’ve been giving this to my dog since well before I can remember. Recently the shape was changed from capsule to tablet; the tablets are not easy to camouflage in anything because they are so large. In addition, I have experienced, several times, a shortage in the product and was in a panic; I contacted the company. Thank God, this is not a prescription, as then it would be required to take daily (for which I wouldn’t have enough of and my dogs would wind up going into withdrawal with side effects).
My 14 (almost 15) year old yorkie mix had blood work down that showed extremely high liver enzymes, ALK-P specifically was over 2000. Less than 1 month on this supplement he was down to under 800. He is on this daily and we will continue to monitor but There is a very noticeable improvement in his alertness and energy level.
Thank you for the chance to tell you about your great customer service the last 5-6 weeks: A sick dog is heartbreaking and when it sadly ended with my Twiggy crossing over. Chewy was so so very kind helping with stopping the auto ship of this medication. Removed her profile and messaged with a Chewy employee. Received a lovely flower arrangement the next day. Continued customer forever. Thank you Chewy....
I can’t really truly rate this being that my dog passed away a few days after she started this liver supplement. I guess I’ll never know how helpful this liver support would have been for her.
Our 10 year old long haired chihuahua was prescribed this due to highly elevated liver numbers through bloodwork. After just one month the numbers started coming down. He will remain on it the rest of his life. He is feeling so much better!
Does not seem to make a difference but our new vet wants to keep Gibby on it until she has been on her new medication a while longer. Then she will be weaned off of it. Yay!
Molly has an enlarged liver and needs liver supplements. She’s been taking them for more than a month and seems to be feeling better.
My dog had some digestive issues and blood test showed his liver enzymes we slightly elevated. My vet recommended for my dog to take this and it has helped alot. Liver levels are back to normal and we havent had digestive issues in while. It's pricey but cheaper than a vet bill!
Chewy took care of confirmation with my vet, I had to do nothing. They communicated every step. The shipment came fast.
