Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet’s long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

I have used Denamarin as a detoxifier for years. I was first introduced when my (now deceased) dog had elevated liver enzyme levels. It got her levels back down to a healthy range and I kept her on it for life. Now, I use Denamarin for my two younger dogs as a routine detoxifier to reduce the general chemical load (heartworm and flea meds, pesticides, etc.) I cannot avoid them being exposed to. I highly recommend!
I started this supplement three months ago for my Labrador Retriever, who is 14.5 years old. Three months ago, his levels were 50% less than they were today when I had his labs re-tested. I will be discontinuing this supplement as I don't feel it's doing anything, and that it could actually be working the opposite way it's meant to for my sweet boy. Not blaming the med, but rather my dog's body and how things function for him.
Not sure at this point how it is doing. She seemed to start acting sluggish. Took her off for a few days to see if any changes per vet. Seems bit more active.
Denamarin works! My dogs liver enzymes were really high due to liver tumors. After using this product for about a month, her liver enzymes went down dramatically. Highly recommended!
Last visit to my vet he said her liver counts were over 7000 which is beyond bad and pointing to Cushing's. I wanted to try a supplement before spending a few hundred dollars on tests. She didn't feel good at all the first week but slowly she has perked up and is back to her spicy self. You have to wait an hour after giving the pill and it takes a little coaxing to get her to eat so I think it upsets her stomach a bit but once she gets started she eats fine. I haven't taken her back to the vet as the test is expensive but I am grateful she is feeling better thanks to the Denamarin
This prescription Denamarin is prescribed by the Vet for my old girl. There arent any side effects and she's doing great. I am not a doc or vet. I feel the supplement must be doing her good as she's feeling better.
I used to get this from my vet pharmacy until for the 2nd time, they became backordered on this product for large dogs. Instead of getting 2 medium dog boxes which was much more expensive, I decided to check Chewy. Not only was the product not backordered, but it was $10 cheaper per box. I read the labels compared to the box I had at home. It's the exact same product. Love Chewy!
My 12 year old mixed breed is undergoing chemotherapy for Mast Cell disease. The medication was causing elevated liver numbers and Denamarin has brought those numbers back to normal.
I wanted this supplement to help with my dog's Liver, but after taking the Denamarin for 2 1/2 weeks, Casey developed diarrhea (when she has ALWAYS had normal stools)...and it became progressively worse the longer she was on the Denamarin. I was giving her the dosage that was correct for her weight, but I couldn't subject her to the constant, worsening diarrhea. I'll be looking for alternative methods (probably natural, and diet based) to help with her Liver issues.
I have always purchased the Denamarin in the punch out pill pack, but it's not available on Chewy, so I bought the bottle. The color of the tablets is different, but all the ingredients and the size seem to be alike. I have to admit that I'm confused. These bottled tablets are much less expensive, too.
