    I think it works?

By psychodog on Aug 16, 2020

I have a reactive psycho border collie-poodle. I give him one tablet in the morning, one in the evening, and some random ones sometimes throughout the day. I have probably gone through 12 or so bottles in the past 4.5 months. I am not sure how well it works, but I don’t want to discontinue it that’s I have a reactive psycho border collie-poodle. I gave the supplement in the morning and my dog liked the flavor. After a few days the dog was fairly sleepy during the day. He had a “spring” effect when the medicine wore off in the evening and the next morning. He became very active, wanted to shred toys and chew during those times until he became sleepy again after taking the pill. We gave it just over a week to see if he would level out and then took him off Solliquin. His personality had changed too much. The vet said they had good experience with it so it was worth a try, but it did not work for us. Gave two stars for the flavor. My dog is picky, but liked this one. … more

    Picky dog!

I think this would be a wonderful product but no matter what i do, i can't get Julie ro take this chew. That's the only reason why i give out a 3 star. I'm so sad for her because she suffers horribly from anxiety disorder. I'd say give it a try! I'll be donating this bottle ro the shelter we adopted her from.

    Nutramax tabs

Not sure, maybe a tiny bit improvement. She is getting older and every little sound seems to bother her. Will re-evaluate after I finish the bottle.

    No behavioral change

My holistic vet recommended Solliquin after seeing how anxious my poor Norma gets, especially in regards to separation anxiety. I went through 2 bottles to make sure I could write a solid review based on my experience. Norma is a 60lb boxer lab mix, so I was giving 1 tablet daily for 90 days. The pros: it’s not a medication and I like that it’s a natural alternative to something like Prozac. She willing eats them and they must taste good! No side effects and my dog does have neurological issues, so that was a relief. The cons: A bit pricey and you can’t use something like GoodRx nor pet insurance to reduce cost. I personally did not notice any change in anxiety in Norma. For reference, 50mg of trazadone doesn’t begin to touch her anxiety and associated panic-stricken behavior :) … more

Didn't really work for my Golden

My Golden gets very upset with thunder, fireworks, any loud noise and we used the entire bottle and he still gets as upset as ever.
