Cat hates it, can't tell if it's doing anything

I know I'm supposed to give this longer to determine whether it's really working, but that's kind of hard to do when it's a challenge just to get the cat to eat it in the first place. In the couple weeks I've been giving him these, I usually have to crumble it up and mix it into his wet food, but he's more of a dry food fan, which means he sometimes doesn't finish the wet stuff. I have started trying to coat it in coconut oil, which has been a successful tactic to get him to eat other things he's meh about in the past, but I can't say if that will work long term. My cat also happens to be a very difficult case. The only reason I have resumed bothering to work on his antisocial behavior is because his companion cat (who was a companion to me as well) recently died, and now that it's just us two, I want to see if I can get him to accept me. I was hoping this might chill him out enough to make him willing to accept physical contact from me. It's very possible that even if he did easily eat it, it might not do much to help in that regard. I probably won't bother with these again and may look to a liquid based supplement to help calm him. If you are a cat guardian, be warned that these are on the large end and very crumbly when broken apart. You may want to break them in at least two pieces before offering to your cat.

Not for my treat loving cat

I bought these as I am desperate to find something to calm my aging cat. I have tried so many things, and I thought this could the thing that would finally help since he is a treat lover. These are not cat size, and my cat had zero interest them. I am not sure how a treat could be both for a dog and a cat since they are so different. I wish I thought about it before purchasing them.

YUCK! No Cats Would Touch

So, I have two pairs of rescue cats that are both sets of brothers. My big boys are going to be 5 and the littles are about 15 months old. One of the little guys had some serious health issues and him being sick then in & out of the hospital was extremely stressful on one of my big guys. There's been a lot of hissing. My vet recommended this supplement, but none of my cats would even touch it at all, unfortunately. They aren't food snobs either. As a result, I cannot attest to this products effectiveness once actually ingested.

they work for George

I never think these work until we run out. I give 2/day to my 22lb corgi/chi mix George. He has confidence issues, the standout being, barking at nothing. This gets old as he is 11. For being a non prescription supplement, they work well enough that I have been buying them for atleast 4 years.

This product works for my cat.

This product has received mixed reviews. It is a "chew." Some cats like it and some do not. I crumbled the chew into his wet food, he gobbled it up. After a week, his anxiety had lessened. Solliquin was recommended by my sister, who is a veterinarian. We had moved to a new home, and my Lenny was beside himself. This product, along with the Feliway products have made this change easier for him.

So far so good!

I bought this item after it was recommended by a dog groomer for my 9-year-old lab mix with severe separation anxiety. His SA is very severe. He would not be able to be alone for more than 5 minutes. My husband is lucky enough to be able to take him to work everyday, but we would not be able to leave him home even to go to the grocery store together. After trying numerous prescription meds from our vet, we figured we would give this a try. He has been taking Solliquin for a month and we have definitely seen a difference. We are able to leave him home alone now for a few hours without coming home to a destroyed house!!

Calm a Puppy?

Well, our terrier mix loves them, of course...they're treats! But I can see a calming effect on a 1 year old....I guess that will have to be an age factor for "Patch".

Different dosage than tablets

Read the labels before you order. There is a very large difference in dosage between soft chews and tablets.

Huge difference separation anxiety

This supplement has made a world of difference for my dog with separation anxiety! Before being on this supplement, my dog would bark non stop when left alone. Despite working with a trainer for months, she still could not consistently be left alone even for a couple of minutes without panicking. Within a week of taking this supplement, I was able to leave her alone for 20 minutes consistently. Now a couple months in she can do up to 4-5 hours alone, and I no longer worry about her having a panic attack when I'm away. This supplement also did not negatively affect her personality. She is still a playful, loving, energetic pup; it just reduced her anxiety enough that she could learn how to be alone with regular training. I will say, based on my experience with other calming aids, this may not work for your dog; each dog is different. However, if your dog is suffering from separation anxiety I think its definitely worth asking your vet about Solliquin and giving it a try!
