Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

This product now contains VEGETABLE OIL. See attached photos of product I received ~1.5 months ago (ingredients show fish oil only) vs. product I received this last week (ingredients now show fish oil WITH VEGETABLE OIL). This type of BAIT & SWITCH should be illegal. If you want pure fish oil for your best friend and not some nasty vegetable oil filler, look for another product. And always check the ingredients!
Only been about a week, but it's certainly not hurting. Got this in hopes of helping my boys itchy skin & hot spots. The hot spots have been healing, and they certainly seem to enjoy the fish oil on their breakfast. I do wish there was an easier option than filling the plastic scoop with the oil, seems a bit messy. Either way, hoping for good things, I'll update once I know for sure.
My dog has been using this for a little over a month now and his coat seems much shinier and healthier looking. When we rescued him he was an itchy shedding boy with a brittle feeling coat. His itching has decreased and his coat feels much healthier. I was hoping it would help with him shedding so much as well but I haven’t noticed much improvement in that regard but maybe with more time it will. He eats it just fine too, I will order it again.
My doggie loves it. It helps her fur stay so soft, and can help with joint health. Though I haven’t seen a massive change in her joints, it feels good to take preventative measures. The only downside is how hard it is to clean the little scoop. Not the end of the world, as it’s sort of inevitable when dealing with an oil like this. My doggie loves the taste.
I rescued a one year old Great Pyrenees. About 2 weeks after rescue, he developed skin allergies. In addition to a Cytopoint injection, our vet placed him in Welactin Omega-3 oil. His weight calls for 2 scoops per day, so I give him one scoop in the AM and one scoop in the PM. His coat has become thicker, shinier, and healthy looking. His skin allergies have healed completely. I highly recommend this product!
Our rescue dobie has alopecia problems due to her thyroid. She came to us that way having never been treated so we are unsure how long she has had these problems Our vet recommended this for her and Junie LOVES it! We just pour it on her food and gobbles it up. It is too early to see if it makes a difference yet in her skin.
I have large dogs & the specialist I use for them as they get older recommends 2-5 grams of Omega-3 per day for arthritic inflammation. Other products have such a low concentration, they don't provide a cost-effective solution. This product allows my dogs to live a more comfortable life at a dosage which is effective. We are proponents for life.
I'm sure this doesn't happen with every dog this is given to, but it made my dog really sick. I started off giving just half the amount and that made her sick. I wasn't sure if that was the cause of her vomiting, so I waited a few days and tried to give it to her again. She got sick throughout the night the second time I gave it to her. Just be careful and maybe start off with a smaller amount to be sure your fur baby can handle this supplement.
Using this brand on the recco I of my vet. There is minimal difference between the dog and cat formula, so I’ve been buying the dog formula for my senior renal cat. Don’t tell him, ok? He has to take a lot of meds and supplements, so every time I dose him with a oral med syringe I put about a half ml of oil in the syringe. He seems to enjoy the fishy oily flavor, and it “loosens up” the powdered supps I have to give him. Keep it refrigerated. Omega 3s are delicate fatty acids, fridge will help prevent rancidity and oxidation. When my dear Ricky was still with us, this oil did him a lot of good. Helped keep weight on him and brought his fur back to shiny after his initial bout with hyperthyroid. This is something I will be feeding all cats I have in the future for their whole lives, good stuff!
I've used this product before, purchased directly from my vet. It's a great product. This time I ordered from Chewy. The bottle arrived leaking. Customer service is great, and they sent out a replacement right away. But the replacement was leaking as well, and the smell was awful (which to me means the fish oil is rancid.) I won't order this particular product from Chewy again. (But I still get almost everything else here!)
