I love these chews! They saved my border collies skin. He constantly licks his paws due to grass sensitivity. These chews work amazing paired with Dermaquin. The two supplements seem to work better together. I do agree that the chews are hard and sometimes stick together in the bag. But I soak my dogs food for 15 minutes in warm water or a broth and they soften right up. I definitely highly recommend!
I received these as a free item in an order several months ago and theyre on the list to be added to my next order! My dog loves the flavor and gets so excited when I ask if she wants her vitamins! Shes a one year old golden retriever that weighs 55lbs. Ive only been giving her one a day, the recommended amount for her is higher, and I can still see a difference in her coat! Everyone compliments how soft her hair! I see a lot of reviews about the soft/hardness of the treat. It seems to have the consistency of a tootsie roll, and they do seem to get harder the longer the bag has been opened - but this hasnt made a difference on how much my dog likes them.
My beautiful boy (A 140lb Tibetan Mastiff) turning 10 years young this Jan. Requires specialized diets & cautious attention to the ingredients of any food/treats/supplements due to having Addison's disease since he was 14 months old.. We rarely find a great joint formula that he can actually have + will actually EAT willingly.. He is beyond picky & no method of sneaking has ever worked.. I'm very happy we tried this! After waiting several months to see if I could observe any changes, I've been delighted that his stamina & agility have bounced back equal to his normal at age 6! I pray they do not change the formula or increase the cost as it's just within my budget. Great product!
My vet recommended these for my dogs. They're very hard (definitely not "soft chews"), so they're difficult to cut in half for my small dogs. They're also difficult for them to chew. The peppermint smell is also very strong. They also seem to upset my dogs' digestive system. They both have eaten grass and shown other signs of discomfort after eating these. One of my dogs stopped eating them. She spits them out. I stopped giving them to my dogs, and I'm currently looking for a better option.
these are not soft chews they are very hard - not easy to break into pieces for dosing and certainly not soft enough to chew for elderly dogs with few teeth.
I had been using the oil from the same make which was recommended by my vet. I thought the chews would be easier but they are so hard my dog can barely get them down. As a few others wrote, these are not exactly chews. I'm going back to the liquid.
Wanted to try these skin supplements to help with my Boxers allergy skin problems. But when they arrived she would not eat them at all. Very hard not soft so she just spit the chew out. Everything with Chewy is great, but need to state these are hard.
My dog is on medications that severely dry out her skin and coat. Before starting these, her fur was very brittle and dull. Now she is back to her normal silky softness and no longer has skin itching and irritation. They have helped with her joint problems as well. I give these to her as a treat daily and she loves them!
This was part of one of those deals that the item was free. I appreciate the opportunity to try something at no cost in case it's not a good fit like in this instance. Unfortunately, the vitamins smell awful and are as hard as a rock. One boxer is picky but the other is like a vacuum cleaner and still wouldn't touch them. Glad we were able to try them out but they were not good for us.
It appears the ratings of these chewable supplements are not very high but our two small dogs just love them! After the bag has been opened for a period of time, the last few chewables get harder, but the dogs can still chew them and then they function like dental treats on their teeth. We have been very happy with this chewable option versus the fish oil as our dogs would not eat their food with any fish oil on it. Thank you for this Omega-3 supplement option!
