This is not at all like the picture. It's mostly corn, then some oats then chaff and big inedible pieces and lots of dust and then a few bird seeds sprinkled in!! I tried to attach another picture what it really looks like but I can't I just wanted to show the big pieces in it. Some of these reviews are good I don't know if they got different batches than us people with the bad reviews but this is definitely nothing I would ever buy again and for a 40 lb bag it's not cheap either you might as well just buy crack corn that would be a lot cleaner than this. And yes I realize this is a natural product and you have to expect some dust and chaff and pieces of straw or corn cob or whatever but not like this, this is totally unacceptable.
I am very grateful that Chewy is carrying more farm animal feed. Gives me another option if I cannot make it to the feed store!
Filled with corn and my chickens won’t eat it. They eat all the extras and 75 plus is leftover and it’s corn.
All yellow grains, I give it to my girls in the evenings when it's going to be cold.
This is the worst stuff I've had the pleasure of ordering for my chickens. It's about 70% corn and only 50% of that is grounded up. The other 30% is mixed with wheat and bird seed. I do not recommend this product for anyone looking for chicken scratch. I would however recommend it for Pigs, Horses, and Cattle. It would make a great feed filler for larger livestock.
It looks like a really quality product. My chickens wouldn't eat it. I bought them as adults and I think they just aren't used to eating grains. I personally like to feed my chickens grains as well as pellets. So I would not say this is a bad product.
My chickens wouldn’t eat the corn in it and it is mostly corn.
Very good scratch. Of many bags ordered only one was spoiled and had to be thrown out.
This was a great batch of scratch. The Chickens loved it!
So I was thinking 40lb was gonna be alittle smaller then expected but then wondering why the package was so heavy. This will last for at least a good month. If my chickens enjoy it I will definitely be buying more.
