    NOT THAT GOOD

    By on

I was expecting a chewable, soft gummy style chew, instead it is a very hard tablet. I had to break it up in my mortar and use water to give it to my dog with a syringe. --And he didn't seem to notice any taste either. I should've stayed with the baby aspirin...because that one is at least easier to break up in the mortar.

    frustrating

We purchased these aspirin for our senior dog that is very active and sometimes ends up with a limp or in pain. We have also given this to our other dogs for small pains. Our dogs won’t touch these meds. They’re supposed to be liver flavored but our dogs spit them out, even concealed in food. I end up having to shove them down the dogs throat every time. And they’re all labs, they eat EVERYTHING, but they can’t stand this stuff. They’re also not made to be split, so you have the option of either under dosing or over dosing tour dog. On my bottle it says one tablet per 50 lbs, and two of our dogs are 75 lbs. I’ve tried splitting the tablet with little success, it’s always split unevenly. So helpful for my pitbull as he has aged and his joints have become stiff and painful. Once we started giving him these aspirin you could see the relief from his joint pain.

    They seem to help

I started my lame dog on these and they seemed to help, I wound up taking her to a vet and getting stronger pain medicines for her arthiritis.

So thankful that I can get a mild pain reliever for an aging dog (with arthritis) without having to make a vet visit.
