Description

Help provide your little one with the nutrients she needs with Nutri-Vet Puppy Milk Replacement Powder. This formula is made in the USA with essential amounts of protein, fat and carbohydrates, along with vitamins, minerals and amino acids to help your puppy grow healthy and strong. It’s also crafted with probiotics and can be used as a nutritional supplement for nursing, pregnant, convalescing or senior dogs, too! Before serving to puppies, it’s recommended that they nurse for the first two days of their lives, so they can receive their mother’s colostrum and gain a strong immune system to support fat utilization, cell growth and help stimulate protein synthesis.

Key Benefits
  • Crafted with whey protein concentrate which offers a great source of essential amino acids to help support healthy muscles, skin and more.
  • Helps newborn puppies grow and gain weight.
  • Contains Nutri-Vet’s Opti-Gut—a natural recipe that features probiotics to help encourage healthy digestion, growth and development.
  • Suitable for puppies and pregnant, nursing, convalescing or senior dogs.
  • Made in the USA.
Precautions

This product is intended for supplemental or intermittent feeding only. When possible the puppy should nurse from the mother for a minimum of 2 days following birth. Small breed puppies should be fed every 3-4 hours. Large breed puppies should be fed every 6-8 hours. Feed solution at or near body temperature (100-105°F) at a rate of 2 tbsp (1 oz) of solution per 4 oz of body weight per day. The daily feeding amount should be divided evenly among the feedings.

    has colostrum added

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I got this for a sick puppy whose mother had rejected her. I was only able to give one feeding of this before the puppy died. So, I am unable to give an accurate review. It is probably an excellent product. I picked this milk replacer over the others because it had the colostrum added and was designed by vets.

    Just ok

I have used a number of different brands and can only give it 3 stars because there are a couple of issues with it. My pups won't drink it as quickly as they do with other brands and I believe it may have to do with sediment that forms at the bottom when it is left standing in their bowl for a while. I have also noticed it really takes a lot of time shaking it to mix well even when using hot water. But the sediment still forms whether you use the recommended amount of water or more. Unlike other brands where the powder mixes quickly and which my pups butt heads trying to get at it. I am not sure why this happens but it could be that the powder is too thick.
