The amount to feed will vary based upon age, activity level, breed, size, and climate/temperature. Adjust feeding rate as needed so that your cat maintains a proper weight. Fresh water should be available at all times, and bowls should be cleaned daily.
Kittens will begin to eat small amounts of dry food at 3 - 4 weeks of age. It is best to offer both dry NUTRISCA® and NUTRISCA® moistened with warm water at this time. After weaning (approximately 8 weeks of age), kittens will normally free feed on dry food. If moistened food is desired, use 1 part warm water blended with 3 parts NUTRISCA®. Moistened food should be changed at least twice daily in order to prevent spoilage.
Reproducing females should be offered 2 - 4 times the amounts shown in the chart during gestation and lactation.
Store in a cool, dry place and protect from moisture.

Healthy choice for my cat
By Dawn on Jan 3, 2021
I have been feeding Nutrisca to my cat since I adopted her from the shelter when she was 7 months old. She turns 8 this year. It's a good product and also controls the glycemic index, as well, which aides in not developing diabetes or a lot of weight gain. She is a healthy cat and this food does come in either chicken or salmon but there is some salmon oils in the chicken product. I used to be able to buy this at the grocery and a big box pet store but both no longer carry it. I was happy to see that Chewy carries it. Nutrisca also makes wet cat food, too that is tasty. It's a good solid food for kitten to adult. Layla will be 8 this year and this has been a good food choice for her. Cats won't eat
By Sissy on Nov 22, 2020
I have no idea why my cats won't even taste this food. One cat ate all around it and my other cat would take a mouthfull out of the dish and drop it on the floor and eat the old food so i would have to sweep up the Nutrisca. I did this for a few days then gave up. They won't even taste it

No issues!
By KKMochi on Oct 22, 2020
After doing a lot of research, I settled on this cat food as the most nutritious while also being the most inexpensive option. This was the second food that my kitten ever tried and we have been using it for probably 4+ months now. My kitten seems to like it and has had no issues. I do sometimes add unsalted chicken broth to add more liquids and he goes crazy for that too.

Best food for Feline Obesity
By Catlover5 on Aug 25, 2020
This is the best diet for a cat who is overweight or pre-diabetic. I swear by it. It has one of the lowest glycemic indexes of any food on the market bc of a high protein diet. The nutrition is top quality and American made. Best cat food on the market in my opinion even though I have tried more expensive food, I think it is better than those. It is moderately affordable, premium cat food without breakin the wallet. My cats have lower food intake with this food as opposed to others, so you use less of it bc of the nutritional content meeting the cat's regular health needs.

Chubby kitty refuses it
By Cheetah on Jul 23, 2020
My cat will eat anything he can find: dog food, dog treats, anything on the counter; don’t serve a plate and turn your back. However, he will not eat this cat food straight or mixed with anything. He will eat the canned cat food off of this dry food and leave the chow behind.

didn't like
By seattle2002 on Aug 25, 2020
Our kitties didn't like it. We had to mix it with another kind, and even then one of them would just eat around it, but the other would eat it if she was really hungry.

Gave my cat struvite crystals
By Julie on Jun 4, 2020
I was making less money so tried to find a cat food that was nutritious while not as expensive as the stuff I previously had. This seemed like a great solution. Just three weeks after I started feeding my cat this brand he developed crystals. I wound up with a large vet bill. I’m just lucky we didn’t have to operate.

My two cats didn't like this food
By Hanasaku on Jan 31, 2020
I bought three 13 lb bags from different store for my two cats. My cats were always hungry, but they didn't eat this food at all. I thought they were not getting used to grain free food, so I mixed small amount of this food with big portion of other dry food, but they only left this food. Then, I mixed this food with wet food, but still they ate wet food only, and left this dry food. My cats reluctantly started to eat when I scoop the mixed food with spoon for them. That was too much effort, and I gave up and donated all left over to local shelter. I recommend to try small bag instead of big bag for the first time.

By Cqbd4 on Apr 25, 2020
My cat will over eat and then vomit this is one of the first foods they keep down and are still eating well.

Very disappointed - not one of the cat would take a bit.
By HealthyAging on Dec 19, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
Read the food ingredients and they all seemed to be healthy for cats. Bought the 13lbs bag, but wasted my money. I have 6 indoors cats and 6 outdoors strays, but not one would take a bit after smelling it. Gave the food to my sister for her cat. Her cat only eats kibbles, but her cat wouldn’t touch it after smelling it. My sister gave the food back to me. Could it be that the bag of food is a bad batch?
