  • It's Fine!

We have 3 dogs...a 100 pounder Golden Retriever, an 80 pounder Golden Doodle and a 30 pounder terrior mix. They all like the Max lamb. In addition, I'd like to add that I love the prompt service and the convenience that Chewy.com offers. We live in a very remote location. It's a 124 mile round trip to the nearest town so we shop once a month. Not having to pack in large bags of dog food and canned food in the car makes our grocery hauling a much easier job. In case you're wondering we live mile high in the mountains of AZ in a small town called Young. Have a good day! Mary

  • Rescue dogs are NOT picky eaters

Rescued my 40lb beagle mix senior gal on 31 Oct 17. She has me well trained by now. Tried a bag of Nature Balance grain-free venison and sweet potato and she had no problem scarfing that luxury food (compared to diet at rescue center) down. No problems so I switched to this Nutro Max grain-free to see how she liked it. No problem changing foods. I feed “free-range” both cats and dog. Eat when you want and how much you want. Have gravity feeders that hold 4 pound of food but Carly did not like the small bowl size of feeder. Her dachsund nose did not like the narrowness of the bowl. So now she dines from a Chinese porcelain bowl fitting to her eating habits. One thing I notice on sporadic Rescued my 40lb beagle mix senior gal on 31 Oct 17. She has me well trained by now. So now she dines from a Chinese porcelain bowl fitting to her eating habits. One thing I notice on sporadic moments in time is a flatulant problem. Nothing major enough to clear the room but significant enough to alert me to note this factor when I reorder from Chewy.com. She has to eat when I am in the room and seeks me out to join her. "Not I" said the little red hen. Free range feeding lets her eat when she gets hungry and keeps me from adhering to a set schedule. Retirement is enjoyed best when there are no expectations - especially from a cute sad eyed Carly. Chew as usual is quick shipping. Well packaged and has excellent customer service. … more

  • CURED the EARS!

    By on

I have a standard poodle that had chronic ear funk and pain. Vet after vet would clean the funk and send us home w yeast infection drops or washes to do. And it would always come back. He had been on the famous "green" bag of food for years. We switched to this stuff and almost instantly the ears are healed. The yeast in alll the other kinds of food was just more than my dog could digest so he was literally full of yeast. Grain free was the fix but only this particular one. I tried Sams first but made it worse! Love this stuff

  • My dog LOVED it

    By on

I switched from Diamond Naturals to this food because I wanted something a little higher end and I though grain free would be a good idea. First of all, my dog went nuts over this food. He totally loved it. And he's never actually gotten excited over anything I've fed him in the past l, so that was great. And his coat has been super soft and shiny as a result of the change. BUT around the time I switched foods, his breath went from just basic dog breath to incredibly horrible. I did some googling and I think it maybe is something to do with the higher protein content of this grain free food. Since he doesn't have a grain sensitivity, I've switched again to the conventional Nutro Max. This grain free recipe is just the formula that has worked the best for Daisy my cocker spaniel. She tends to have itching skin allergies as well as inflamation in her eyes. This food has worked the best for her after trying so many others.

  • My dog babies like it

    By on

I have slowly changed over to this food for two of my three dogs. They like it and eat it up! I wish all three could be on it but one pup is on allergy food. I think it is affordable and I trust Nutro to provide safe wholesome food.

My dogs are very picky eaters and I have them on a grain free diet so finding food that they will eat without putting something else on it is very hard but they liked this and eat it without adding tings to it !

  • Nutro Max Grain Free Adult ... Lamb dry dog food

When I got my little "schnoodle", an adoptee from the pound, she was very scared and had loose stools. The Nutro Max grain free diet seems to agree with her, so I shall keep ordering it for her when I run out.
