    Kitten-Approved

By AbiB on Jul 8, 2019

My foster kittens eat this up. I selected it because it has great ingredients and a decent price-point compared to other brands, but it's also a very popular food with my kittens! It is a very stiff pate but I find that they are better able to eat it compared to soft pates. Maybe that's just me, though My foster kittens eat this up. Another "healthy" food bites the dust.

By Terri on Oct 10, 2019

All 4 of my tiny tornados refused to eat this one at all, as I set it down so I pick it up. Even mixing it with other food didn't work, donated the unopened cans

Paws down, will not order again

I took advantage of the Black Friday/Cyber sale and purchase a case of this and a case of the other kitten variety. The ingredients are fantastic and they love the Nutro max dry food. Thinking this would be a hit, boy was I wrong. First, the color of the food is pale in comparison to other canned foods (Fancy Feast, Purina Muse, etc); reminded me of grounded bologna. It's dry moist throughout but has absolutely no amount of juice at all. I have 13 cats in all, ranging from 3mo to 16.5yrs. Not one dove into it. Thinking, okay, it's new, maybe they just need an adjustment. They picked on it, even the little ones. Before they would even really eat it, I had to mix the two flavors together and still, food was left in the bowls. I've left the food out for the day and it's remained untouched. Afterwards, I just threw it because it dried out and started over again. This time, I added water to it, mixed both flavors and left it out. Still, same response. Ate a little but left nearly full bowls. Every now and then, one will walk by, sniff and "covers it up". I am trying to finish what I have because I do not have any other to use. I will stick to Purina Muse because for now, that seems like a winner. A good sale did not prove to be good after all. … more

Adult cats won't eat it... (usually they love this brand!)

    By on

My two adult cats love chicken and liver, but when I placed my order I failed to notice that this was a kitten formula. I really didn't think it would matter to them, but for whatever reason they turned their noses up at it. I'll pay closer attention next time!

The product is good, just that my fussy cats didn't like it.

Love the food, hate pate texture

    By on

Our new kittens love Nuto Max as did our older cat we recently lost but it must be in diced texture. The pate does not seem to work well with any cats I have or have had in the past. I will keep using it and wish that diced came in the kitten formula.
