Adjust food to maintain ideal body weight. Always provide fresh drinking water. Puppies: From 3 to 5 weeks of age, moisten food and feed frequently. From 6 weeks of age, feed the suggested amount in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 18 months (24 months for giant size dogs). Gestation/Lactation: During gestation, feed up to 2 times the amount shown for puppies 6 to 9 months. Feed lactating females as much food as they will eat to maintain weight. Amounts will differ depending on litter size.
If feeding Nutro Dog Food for the first time or changing formulas, we suggest you blend increasing amounts of the new formula with your old dog food for 6 days.

Good dog food

If this product has not changed just the packaging from when I have my 13 years old when she was a puppy. I feel like I need to switch to this brand again my new lab/pit mix I adopted from the shelter she seems breaking out in hives to Purina One Large puppy food. Like I said I'd this just like the one my 13 year old lab (passes away) loved I know this won't upset my new puppies skin or stomach. I'll update this review if I see a difference in a week.

Great for my Great Dane

Wowwwww i’m actually amazed at this puppy food! I had been searching and searching for the perfect large breed puppy food specifically for a Great Dane. This is it! Seriously. He’s 3 months and 2 weeks or so and pretty smart, but today he tried to take a huge mouthful out of the container i put the food in. Which he hasn’t done since he was a baby baby. If you have a great dane and have been on every site looking at the best food for them, get them this. Seriously the way my dog goes through 2 scoops of this food makes me think how could any dog not like this food. He was originally on science diet and loved that too but not like he loves this stuff.

There's never been a meal where his bowl isn't licked squeaky clean! His breath, body odor, energy level and stool have all improved on this food. He likes it so much we even use it for training treats!

I have tried 3 different brands for my lab puppy and he had diarrhea on those but started him on Nutro and everything is great! He loves this food, going to start my other dog on Nutro also.

I have a 5 month old Lab puppy, she has had digestion/loose stool issues since I have had her. She was fine with the breeder and when she first came home on the previous Purina Pro Plan formula. But they changed it, changed how the bag looks and added Probiotics. I they are "supposed" to be good for digestion. Tell that to my puppy, cause the new Pro Plan formula was not working for her. After going through multiple brands, from Diamond Natural, Hills, Pro Pac, Blue, etc. I finally found a food that fixed her digestion. It was Sportmix Wholesomes Large Breed Chicken & Rice. Problem is, I found out it was not an all life stage food. Just adult. The only quality puppy food I found that works is I have a 5 month old Lab puppy, she has had digestion/loose stool issues since I have had her.
