Puppies: From 3 - 5 weeks of age, moisten food and feed frequently. From 6 weeks of age, feed the suggested amount in 3 meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months.
Pregnant Bitches: During pregnancy, offer 50% more than the amount shown for puppies 29 - 52 weeks of age.
Lactating Bitches: Offer at least 2 - 3 times the amount shown for puppies 29 - 52 weeks of age.

My veterinarian recommended Nutro puppy for our 10-week-old Queeensland Heeler puppy. I soften it in a little water to make it easier for digestion and also to enhance the aroma and flavor. Nutro puppy offers a well-balanced diet of protein and carbohydrates. Now 16 weeks old, our heeler pup is growing fast (from 12 to 22 pounds) and is obviously well-served by the Nutro puppy diet. I chose the Nutro large breed puppy farm raised chicken based on the size and weight of my puppy's parents who are in the top quartile of size for the breed.

Just switched from Blue Wilderness to Nutro! Tried switching once before to just Blue Buffalo, and it caused digestive problems. Gus is now a year old and he liked Blue Wilderness, but it would only last 3 wks. Needed a dog food that was just as nutritious, last a month and not as costly.

Kibble too small for large breed pup

Strat is a one year old American Bully with a very large head. We both are fans of the limited ingredient, GMO free Nutro Large Breed Puppy formula, but even the large breed kibble gets lost in his big mouth and ends up all over the kitchen and his feeder. Wish Nutro would make an extra large kibble.

Switching Away From Nutro

Started my lab pup on Nutro. Noticed the stools were loose. No idea if it's the food. Switched to chicken and rice with vet provided probiotics. Cleared up the issue. Went to gradual return of this Nutro pup food and it was a disaster. My pup must have a sensitive system, but this food is not helping her. She likes the taste, and the price was reasonable. Changing to another brand. Will update.

We got a black German shepherd puppy in june (i specify, because apparently these breeds tend to have super sensitive stomachs). I had him on Iams large breed puppy, as my oldest dog had done well with that. well, we noticed him having diarrhea, to varying degrees. Well, to spare the details, we got him his shots and dewormers, he still had diarrhea. he was fine, aside from the obvious. we made the move to switch his dog food, and it came down to this. he has done so well with this. he hasn't had diarrhea from this food since then, and he's sprouted like a weed since putting him on this food. I did a lot of searching for a good wholesome food for my puppies. I liked everything I read about this product and decided to switch them to this food. The transition was simple! No upset tummies and they loved it. Since it’s made for large breed puppies the size of the kibble was perfect for them. Best of all Chewy had a BOGO deal!

We were having a bowel issue (always loose) with a different brand dog food... Confused of the reasoning, we felt limited ingredient may be best. After much research, we chose Nutro. Transition to this large breed puppy food couldn’t have gone smoother - the pups love it & poos instantly back to normal. Thank goodness.
