  • My dog loves salmon

    By on

....and at close to 14, it's good for him. I am very pleased with Chewy, they deliver after just a day or two, they have an excellent selection, and the prices are better than pet store prices. My only complaint is that when my dog wants a can of this, two cans of that and perhaps a small can or two of that food, I can't get it, Chewy doesn't deliver individual cans, it's either a case or not at all, and I always end up going to the pet store anyway for the last 5-6 cans. Other than that, I am pleased and will continue to use Chewy and the delivery service.

  • It's Treat

We needed a high quality of calorie dense food for our older dog to maintain his weight. This fit the bill. I put a few kibble pieces on the other dog's food, she gobbles them up. After buying two smaller bags I was sure he would eat it. Having a larger bag of quality food delivered to my home made my day much easier. I know now I won't run low.

  • rated by my dogs about 7 out of 10

I have two basset hounds. the kibble is the size of marbles. My dogs don't devour it straight out of the bag - I add wet food to this and they LOVE it then. I read that a fish based food product will cause them to be smelly if they are prone to have bad odors - which bassets do - and yes I do notice a strong dog smell on them so next I will try a non-fish based food and see if it helps manage their hound smell.

  • Bought for Malnourished Rescue

When we adopted our pit bull mix, Kirk, from the shelter, he was still really underweight. So I did some research and started to search for a dog food that was high in protein and fat so we could start putting the weight on our guy. So far, he's gained 4 pounds in about 3 weeks so we are happy about that. His skin is also looking much better. He has some pretty bad allergies so I also thought the grain-free diet would be helpful - and the fact that it doesn't have a lot of fillers. But I'm not sure if this food is really helping him in that area or not. Once we get him to the proper weight, I will probably start shopping around for a better dog food for his allergies. • Less ingredients, better food

    By on

We were giving our dog (6 year old Shepard mix) the regular Nutro brown rice and lamb food. She had been itching a lot sometimes cutting herself and it was recommended that we change her to a low ingredient food that doesn't have a lot of fillers and it worked.she loves it and no more constant itching!
