  • Dinosaur Success!

    By on

I have an 8 month old shepherd-lab-pit mix. He LOVES to have toys to chew on. (Such a good boy.... only ever chewing on his TOYS!) When he was 4-6 months old, he had the Nylabone blue dinosaur for puppies. And it was his FAVORITE! He was so sad when I had to throw it out because it had become nothing but a little nub. So I was extremely happy to see a Nylabone dinosaur in the non-puppy version! He is a very happy guy having his dinosaur back! For reference, he weighs just shy of 50lbs, and I ordered the Giant/Large size, and received the Brontosaurus shape. Thank you Chewy for providing a variety of both toys and food at great prices!

  • great for chewers!

this toy is def made for chewers! my bulldog will grab this toy and go to a corner and chew for a good 10-15 minutes before being distracted by something else (like sleep). we have been using it for a month now and the toy extremities are still there (def a little ragged but you can still tell it's a dinosaur!). The one down side is that it's plastic...bulldogs love to eat EVERYTHING that ouches the ground (it's all food you see?)...thankfully/not so thankfully i have been finding the small plastic shavings on the ground and he hasn't been eating them (or most of them at least)...the positive is that the plastic comes off small enough that it shouldn't effect the digestive track if it is swallowed this toy is def made for chewers! my bulldog will grab this toy and go to a corner and chew for a good 10-15 minutes before being distracted by something else (like sleep). we have been using it for a month now and the toy extremities are still there (def a little ragged but you can still tell it's a dinosaur!). • funny story

I really can't review this item because I haven't seen it in action personally. I order dogfood for our 3 families who are all on a different delivery schedule. Needed dog food for my brother-in-law so I added the toy to round up for free shipping. My brother-in-law gets home before I did so he came to the house and picked up the chewy.com box. I texted him to see if there was a chew toy in the box and he said, yes, Sadie (Snauzer) was chewing on it now. He assumed it was a complimentary toy from Chewy and not one I'd ordered for my pups. Gave us all a good laugh. I think Sadie gives the toy a paws-up.

  • Dogs dont like

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My dogs haven't touched either since they came out the box and they chew everything. They are very hard. I also dont know how flavored they are as my dogs love nyla bone products but hate these. Also from owner standpoint i ordered giant and they are pretty small when i first handed it to my pups out the box the whole toy went in their mouths and you couldn't tell they had it which raises red flags to me for choking hazards if i cant even tell they have it in their mouths.

  • Great Doggie Chew

    By on

I was hoping this was a durable dog chew and it is! My dog has not been able to break any pieces off of it which is what I wanted. Did not want him to be able to eat it but just chew. Now mind you he is 13 so probably doesn't chew as hard as he did as a puppy but he works on it pretty vigorously and hasn't made any breakage. So if you are concerned with your dog eating his chew; this is an ideal one for you!

  • Great For Chewers

    By on

I purchased this toy for my 17 lb agressive chewer. This has remained one of her favorite toys and it is very durable. I make it a point to pick up the toys before bed every night because I can't begin to describe the pain of stepping on it in the middle of the night. I would highly recommend this toy for a chewer.

  • Best chew ever

    By on

We raise Miniature American Shepherd for conformation showing. We have 11 dogs and everyone loves the dinosaurs! They are hard and our puppies don't start chewing on them until they are probably 4 months old. They aren't for every dog, some dogs may not touch them because they are so hard. Our breed is an average weight of 25lbs. This IS by far their favorite chew toy. I order some everytime I order from Chewy!

  • Best brand chew toy

    By on

We have very aggressive chewers in our family so toys definitely have to be durable. We found this brand 2 years ago and love everything they come out with. Their chew toys last us about 3 months compared to other brands or chew toys lasting 3 hours. I definitely would recommend to anyone with chewers.

  • This has quickly become a favorite toy for my pup!

    By on

We recently adopted a pit/boxer mix puppy. He goes through toys (and sometimes our shoes) like it is his job! Even toys that claim to be "indestructible" are no match for his puppy teething! So I tried this nylabone dinasaur hoping it would last a little longer than the others that came before it. Not only does the puppy love it but I had to order more for my two adult goldens! They all love to settle down for a family chew fest! It keeps them busy and holds up well to their sharp teeth and strong jaws! It is a very good value as well! It has already lasted longer than some of the "indestructible" chew toys!!

  • Quality chew toy

    By on

As most know, Nylabone makes quality products, and this is no exception. Both our puppy German Shepherd and older Golden Retriever have taken turns on this dinosaur chew toy and seem to enjoy it for at least a few minutes at a time. I can't say it keeps their interest for very long, but they go at it pretty good when they do. Haven't had the issue with small pieces being left behind like others have, and looks like it should last for quite a while. We had a trainer advise us not to give our Shepherd puppy the small Nylabones as they can split them in two, and splinter with his strong jaws. So this chew toy is a good alternative to the smaller bones.
