    Great For Heavy Chewers!

By GrammaTaz on Jan 29, 2020

I have 2 heavy chewing dogs. I had to get 2 of these. Worked out great! They've both had them for over a week and they're still chewing away!! Love it!!

Eh... a little smaller than I thought

I've got a rescued wolf hybrid & a very small Malinois - both are exceptionally rough chewers & seeing the size of the knot on these, figures they'd be perfect. While my Mal went right at it, my wolfie tried his best but found it a bit difficult to get a grasp on it to evn hold - so.he just decided chewing his old gnawed up to nothing bone was better. Poor thing. If only it were just a little bit longer in the middle to hold it better... Can't say I'd buy them again, though the concept is great - I feel they didn't maybe think the design entirely through & didn't quite stick w/ their usual sizing to know what's what.. … more

    Odd sizing

    By on

I originally ordered the petite for my 12 and 14 pound dogs. They were too small for them to get a good grip on with their paws and couldn't chew on them. I reordered the medium and the size ratio was ridiculous! The medium was twice the size and didn't fit in their mouths, plus they were too heavy for the little one to even carry around. Will have to find something else, sigh

    Heavier than it looks

I was excited to get this for my teething 27lb puppy, but this sucker is way heavier than it should be. She likes the taste of it, but she can’t carry it around with her mouth or play with it.

Sizing on this site is different than the item package

    By on

My dog loved this and I'm sure if I had bought it in the appropriate size we'd still have it. But I got the size small per the instructions on this site as my dog is 19.4 lbs. This site says x-small is for up to 15 lbs. When I got the package, it clearly said size small is "for dogs up to 15 lbs." Then on the back it said to make sure the bone you choose isn't too small so as to encourage dogs to chew in the middle of the bone and not the ends. I figured I'd try it anyway, how different could 19.4 lbs be from the supposed max of 15? Sure enough, my dog chewed the ends and pieces were breaking off within a few hours. I would consider repurchasing in a medium but Nylabone needs to give carriers My dog loved this and I'm sure if I had bought it in the appropriate size we'd still have it. I don't think is the fault of Chewy.com, just this product was not good for my pup. … more
