I received a notification to review this item, and unfortunately it is already gone. My dogs absolutely loved it! But a little too much... so not for tough chewers. One of our dog isn't allowed hard bones anymore due to cracked teeth, so I thought I try the rubber ones, but not durable enough. Sad, because she loves to chew, and I like for cleaning teeth purposes, so I'll keep looking.
Gave this to my pup in hopes that it would be a good choice for teething. About 10 minutes after chewing, she spit up and it was the color of the bone. Maybe the “chicken flavor” wasn’t so good. Threw it out
This Nylabone is perfect for my lab who isn't a really strong chewer. I definitely recommend supervising chew sessions with this but my dog hasn't chewed any pieces off in the time he has had his. I highly recommend it.
My boys love Nylabones, but only one kind. Can't find them in stores anymore. So I went to Chewy and as always they have the product I can't find anywhere else. Chewy is great with getting their meds here on time, too. Thanks, Chewy.
My 6 lb chihuahua puppy who is 9 months old had pieces chewed off of this in about 10 minutes. I wasn’t sure if it was edible or not and so I checked and noticed that it said it fine print that only pieces the size of a grain of rice can safely pass through a dogs digestive tract. After I saw that I immediately took it away from her so she got 10 minutes of chewing fun out of it. Guess I will have to buy her the harder nylabones which she doesn’t like as well.
This is a good toy for puppy if they are teething. it give them something to chew rather than be destructive.
Willow is a 6 month old Labrador retriever. She is a soft chewer so she likes this softer chew nylabone better. Helped her through teething
So far I am loving these Nylabones. Because they are softer they can be tossed and dropped on the floor. The regular hard bones are like dropping rocks and we have tile floors, so loud and kind of scary. I think the softer texture is going to appeal to chewers that want a softer, more food like feel.
Six month old Aja has a new favorite chew! It is her 'go to" bone now. It's really holding up well. She's a yellow labrador and a voracious chewer and its holding it's own against her new big girl teeth.
This is NOT indestructible! Within an hour, while I was in a Zoom meeting, my dog managed to eat the whole thing. After contacting her vet, we ended up in the local Per ER where they safely recovered most of the material. Fortunately, she had chewed it into small pieces and was able to successfully pass the rest without causing an obstruction. I put this review up in hopes to prevent a similiar experience for others.
