This is my dogs favorite toy no matter what else I find he still likes this one the most and it lasts him a long time.
I observed the 2 different types/colors of nylabone on this chew: the brown "bun" and the red part that looks like a hot dog. It crossed my mind how secure one was attached to the other but I trusted the Nylabone name (and the price of the bone) that it would be safe and secure. IT IS NOT. My 55 lb dog began to chew on one end and the end of the red hot dog part BROKE OFF and away from the rest of the bone. It had not ever been meshed or bonded with the brown roll-it popped right out and it was hard and twisted and IMO could have hurt the dog had he ate it. So I had to discard the bone because the red sausage looking piece BREAKS into pieces after it falls away from the brown bun part when the dog begins to chew on it. Wasted $$$. Won't buy anymore Nylabone with 2 "parts' like this. Apparently they are NOT securely bonded to the main part of the bone and when they come off they can be a threat. Very disappointed with Nylabone. The dog did not even have to chew on it for it to fall out. It just popped out on its own.
I've been a steadfast Nylabone user for many years because their chews stand the test of time. It's not too often that I throw them away after a few days. But the red layer began to separate from the brown, and I tossed it out just to be safe. For a less vigorous chewer, it'd probably be just fine. But my big boy said this particular model was lacking.
Yay!! Finally something not edible that both dogs like. Not quite enough to fight over or for the one to try and bury it in my couch....so that's a win!!!
As soon as I opened the Chewy box I knew I'd made a mistake. I haven't even opened the chew toys because they are way too big for my dogs to tackle. They didn't look so big in the listing. I'm going to have to find at least a 50 lb dog to give these to.
These didn't look so big in the photos but they are way too big for my dogs. Not sure about the flavors because mine had no reaction when they sniffed these.
My dog LOVES this chew toy. Hard to find anywhere but at Chewys
I have 3 power chewers and all 3 tug of war as to who is going to get to chew on it.
my 72 lb sheepadoodles had hunks off of this within mnutes. I am usually very satisfied with the power and dura chew products, not so much with this one
This is in no way "Power chew". My 16 month old Golden retriever chewed through it in less than a day. Would not recommend.
