I am always looking for something my pit mix can chew for longer than two minutes. I bought several of these and my other less destructive dogs like this ring. My pit really likes it. It gives her something hard to chew, she likes to hold it in her mouth and run around, and while I know it won't last forever (really need to watch for pieces being chewed off, which will eventually happen), I am more than happy with this toy. Just don't let your dog drop it on your bare foot. It hurts! Thank you, Chewy!
Rescued a starving dog from animal control that will literally eat anything if I let him. He plays and chews up regular chew toys so thought I would get him something a little tougher. He picks it up and then drops it. Can't get him to interact with it at all, let alone use as a chew toy. Must not have much flavoring to it. Feels and looks like heavy duty brown plastic. Thought it was odd that a dog who will literally eat or chew on anything wants nothing to do with this particular chew toy.
I was hoping to get this item and have my basset puppy interested in chewing this with her puppy teeth instead of other things. My puppy has not even looked at it twice. It has supper hard plastic and a very mild aroma, at this point it is just one more thing to step on.
Hard as a rock, would probably break my big dog's teeth if she liked it and wanted to chew on it--which she doesnt....and she chews on everything. Waste of money, too expensive to ship back. Everything else Ive bought at Chewy was Great--but not this
Pepper was not able to chew through it, but able to really make it very splintery. It now collects a lot of fur in the splinters. Only took a couple of days. Would not recommend for an aggressive chewer.
This thing is just a giant poop colored, ring shaped, heavy Lego and my dogs loved it so much I had to take it away until I ordered a second one. They like that they can hold it up with their paws because it’s ring shaped. They are fans of the antler alternatives but they’re always asking me to hold them while they chew, or they chase them around the floor with their lips. This round thing just situates itself right in their paws and they can sit comfy and chew. It does not bleed or stain. It’s like plastic but safe.
Our lab mix loved chewing on it but it popped into 2 pieces and we had to take it away.. it appears by looking at review pics that this isn’t as uncommon as we thought. Good idea just needs a little more thought in the design and or quality for extreme chewers..
The Nylabone broke within 10 seconds of opening it. We showed it to our dog, who had no interest. So we threw it to him, hoping that would make it more interesting. It shattered on the floor right away. Terrible product!
My dogs love this chew toy and it is very durable; however, at first glance it looks like a ring of poop (it is shiny, brown, and textured). So, even though I know this is a chew toy and I am well aware that my dogs are not that talented, it manages to alarm me each and every time I walk into a room and see it. You have been warned!
I bought 2 of these for Christmas. Within 5 minutes they were both broken into multiple pieces, just from landing on the floor. Would definitely not recommend this product at all. Definitely dissatisfied. Usually love nylabone products
