LOVE THIS 10000%
I have a 65lb Pitbull mix. I adopted her from our local humane society in Feb.2022. I was having trouble finding her something to chew on and play with. Then I found this and she LOVES it. I bought it 2 months ago and it still is holding up nicely. Not really sure why some of the reviews are bad. She throws it, Carry’s it, and chews the fire out of it and it’s basically brand new! I don’t regret this purchase and will buy another one!
My three dogs weren't interested
I have a German Shepherd, Shih Tzu and a Rat Terrier and none of them had even the slightest interest in this toy. It laid in the same spot, untouched, for days. Because of its brown color and small size, I would mistake it for a potty mess from one of my little dogs. I tossed it out because I didn't want to see it on my floor looking like an unpleasant "gift" from my dog.
I have a big dog who chews everything, I'm saying everything deer antlers, "tough" chewer toys, etc will be gone in a few weeks or a month. We bought him one of these for Christmas so about 4 months ago and he loves it, it's a go-to toy for him, he is always playing with it, and he has barely done damage to it. I recommend it if you have a dog that needs tough toys.
Showed no interest
I bought this for my 8 month pitbull due to her chewing through her beds and other toys, but as soon as I showed it to her, she had no interest in it whatsoever. I was hoping she'd at least play with it or something, but it just lays around since i got it. Disappointing and wouldn't reccomend.
waste of $$$
Unfortunately, my 9-month-old black lab did not like this. At first, he seemed interested, but that only lasted about 15 minutes and then he lost interest. He hasn't touched it since. He is a super chewer, so I was honestly shocked he didn't bother chewing or playing with this toy. Was really disappointed with the shipping, it ended up being delayed two times and arrived later than expected.
IT BREAKS. EDGES SHARP
Perhaps it is that I have tile floors throughout, but the very first time the puppy tossed this chew toy into the air, it fell on the floor and broke into pieces. Some were smooth enough and large enough for continued play/chew, others had sharp edges at the break. I have Irish Wolfhounds and this looked to be suitable for 10-week old IW puppies, but it isn't.
Super chewer loves it!
My pittie is a super destructive chewer. Very few things survive her vigorous chewing, but this toy shows little sign of being defeated by her. It’s one of her favorite toys! We gifted one to her canine cousins who are also avid chewers and love it as well. Highly recommend this for your heartiest chewers!
Hard Hard Plastic - Probably Not For Small Dog
I agree w/Carla. My 11 mo (17 lb) terrier mix who LOVES to chew would have nothing to do with this. It's very very hard plastic. IMO Nothing about this would entice a dog. I thought it would be a little pliable but it definitely isn't.
Dogs loved it but too risky
I bought this for my boy’s 12th birthday. He’s an extreme chewer and has done well with Nylabone in the past. He really liked this but large chunks started coming off. I had to toss this unfortunately due to risk of blockage or perforation.
Dogs don't like it
Our dogs chew on everything but this. It seems durable but that doesn't really matter if they never chew on it. The texture is smooth and slippery almost shiny, and the dogs pick around it when choosing any other toy from the toy box.
