My dog is a ball freak, but she loves carrying objects by the tag until she rips them off. This toy is rugged with many ways to retrieve it. Carrying it by the blue ties is comparable to “a tag”. She loves whipping it around as she runs with it. It does have a good bounce to it and can be caught in the air.
My one-year-old English Setter chews most of his tug toys for a while once he "wins" the tug, so anything that can be quickly destroyed doesn't last. So far this has stood the test very well. It might not last a long chewing session, but the rubber part stands up to rough chewing for the few minutes I let him chew before we resume the tugging. With other similar toys he has gotten pieces off almost immediately.
