I read a lot of reviews before purchasing okocat. My cat has used clay, pine, pretty litter, the breeze system and adjusts fine to every kind. Okocat in a covered box, does not emit a smell in my opinion. When scooping And changing the litter, it mostly smells like wood shavings, but can become stinky I read a lot of reviews before purchasing okocat. Read All 201 Critical ReviewsGood But Not My Favorite Okocat Litter

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Okocat litter. This was the first one I tried (a year or so ago). It has better stink fighting properties than most and is lighter and more earth friendly than clay. It also has very minimal dust. The clumps are pretty good though they do break up if you aren't careful Let me start by saying that I LOVE Okocat litter. This was the first one I tried (a year or so ago). It has better stink fighting properties than most and is lighter and more earth friendly than clay. It also has very minimal dust. The clumps are pretty good though they do break up if you aren't careful. Of the 3 versions I have tried this is the middle ground. Speaking of ground, it's a fairly large course "grind" if you will. This isn't going to be appealing to all cats. It takes some getting used to. It's decent and works if you can't get the featherlight and is WAAAYYYY better than the "soft" which is downright terrible. … more

tracks everywhere and smells terrible
By alwayzconfused on Feb 27, 2021
I hate this litter It tracks everywhere, it smells so bad, and it takes forever to scoop because the clumping doesn’t work very well Additionally the litter is very light which easily spills over when my cat tries to cover his pee

BEWARE OF LITTLE PLASTIC HANDLE ON THE BOX
By judy on Feb 22, 2021
Great cat litter, but the handle cannot support the 20 lbs of litter- for me it snapped while I was walking down stairs- it all fell 11 stairs. The box was strong and did not break open its contents. Just all banged up and crumbled. Chewys is great about replacing the item!

Nope... they just don't like it.
By Sandy on Feb 17, 2021
Neither do I. The wood smell is so strong, I feel like I have a wood shop in my laundry room. The pellets are so large that they don't go through a typical scoop. And, most importantly, my cats won't go near it.

Didn't like!
By KatyBella on Feb 12, 2021
My two refused to use this and avoided the litter box until I replaced it with what they were using. Maybe it would work for young cats just starting out. I hesitate to leave a recommendation because I'm sure it is a great product but not for older cats set in their ways.

Best litter we've used!!
By SingingCatLover on Feb 11, 2021
We started using okocat after learning that The Cat Cafe in San Diego uses it for their rescue cats. It is the best litter we've ever used! We have 5 cats and they took to it immediately. We use the original clumping okocat and it clumps really well and there's just no urine odor ever. We HIGHLY recommend it.

Best car litter
By Fran on Feb 11, 2021
I’ve used many litters and okocat (however it’s pronounced) blue blows them all away. But only the blue variety. The other okocat varieties are as terrible as the blue is great!!

I use this with the Naturally Fresh litter. No chemical smell. All natural, very fresh. My cat loves it!

PURRFECTION
By kitkat on Feb 5, 2021
Excellent product. Have three Persians and tried the OKO Persian version but doesn't clump as well as the original. Prior litter for many years was EVERCLEAN. However, that brand is NOT odor free and makes messy clumps not easy to scoop. I didn't mind the odor as the litter box was in the basement but now I have moved it to a main floor room where odor is definitely a factor. Anyway, what is great about this product is the odor control and the clumping which is the best I have experienced so far. Tracking with OKO is not great but can be controlled with a mat under the box. My only complaint is the packaging. Trying to lift the 19lb box can be awkward and the opening pushes inward and interferes with the pouring. More worrisome is the handle on the box which snaps and breaks easily. I have had to use a bucket for the unused litter rather than rely on pouring from the box. Some folks complain that the pieces of this litter are too large to sift through a scooper. I highly recommend investing in the Jumbo Cat Litter scoop from Dura Scoop is all metal, and the space between the bars is wider than most scoopers. Need a serious tool for a nasty job! … more

Great product
By Kitt on Feb 4, 2021
Have avoided grain-based litters (eg corn, wheat) due to risk of bringing home Weevils. Went with this pine based product, and its been great! Clumps well, little tracking, cat likes it. And, it lasts LONG
