About Old Mother Hubbard
Old Mother Hubbard Baking Company began in Gloucester, MA over 80 years ago. Their classic recipe was originally developed as a wholesome snack for fishermen. While out at sea one day, a sailor threw a biscuit to his dog, who happily gobbled it up. Old Mother Hubbard continues to build on their traditions, baking a wide variety of naturally delicious, all-natural pet snacks for the pets we all so dearly love.
These cookies were too big for my dogs. In the photo it looked to be a similar size to the small treats we normally buy. I have one dog who is three and another who is 12 with poor teeth. These were too hard for him to chew and too large for the youngster. I am sure for a larger dog these would be great.
Good BIG treat!

My dog loves them, me not so much. I wanted a good low fat treat for my Lab, she LOVES food. The problem is these things are pretty big and a really messy. The amount of crumbs these produce are amazing! Make sure you feed them to your pet in an area you don't mind licks and drools.

These are hard treats that take a little time for our dog to chew, which is perfect for us. The time makes him (and us) feel like he had more of a treat. The fact that they are lower in fat makes us feel better giving them to him also.
Dogs like these

There aren't many low fat treats on the market and my dog has pancreas issues, so it's important. These are good for med/lg dogs. The beagle has a hard time with them since they are thick and dense.

My little girl loves these. They're a little big so I have to cut them up. She's a Shitzu mix. She has certain food sensativities but she was ok with these.
Worst Dog Treat
on May 29, 2018
do believe these were the worst treats I ever tried. They are hard as a rock and I even tried to feed them to my neighbors dogs (6 of them ) when I go for my daily walk. They sniffed them and then looked at me like I was mad to give them these instead of the ones I give normally. Thought it would be a good way to get rid of them but guess I am stuck since no one wants them. My own dog is not able to chew them because they are so hard. Your customer service has always been exceptionally wonderful - I am just complaining about the low fat dog treats.
a little disappointed

These were too big & hard for my dogs - even though they are large dogs & aggressive chewers. They're so hard I can't break them in half to try & make them a little easier for them to eat. I LOVE Old Mother Hubbard's peanut butter treats (they are small bone shaped treats) so will probably just stick with them.

We have always loved Old Mother Hubbard products. My 12 yr old Golden doesn’t know the difference between high fat and low fat. He gobbles these down without hesitation.
I think I like this company because they are local, even though they out source production to Canada.
Great Low Fat Treats

My 10 year old Shih Tzu mix has pancreatitis and trying to find a treat that wouldn’t make him sick was hard. I came across these and he ended up loving them! My only complaint is that they are rock hard. So I just crush them up into small pieces and he goes to town!

I really like this product as my dogs do. The only thing I find is that it is very dry and my dogs chocked on it easily. If they had it in a different shape that may help. The edges were too sharp for my dogs.
