As each dog is unique, the feeding amounts will vary. Use this chart as a general guideline and adjust accordingly.
Steep for 10 minutes in warm water and some oil. Then mix in with the dog's regular food.
The addition of a small amount of oil helps convert more of the beta - carotene to the beneficial vitamin A. Good oils to use are salmon oil, flax seed oil, organic coconut oil, but most kitchen oils can be used, even olive oil. Oil should not be added when feeding puppy good or high performance dog foods because those have a higher fat content, which is sufficient to aid the beta - carotene to a vitamin A conversion.
Store product in dry place protected from light.
My rescue cat developed BAD IBS (super stinky diarrhea w blood) and NOTHING from the vet or other remedies (clay & probiotics) did any good for over a year. Thought I'd try this, even though it was for dogs and it WORKS!! I just hydrate 1/2 tsp in chicken broth overnight and then add to her wet food. It literally worked in a day or two. I am not kidding. I feel so much better that carrots cured her rather than making her eat clay that didn't work.
I noticed my newly adopted dog was having soft stools and sometimes scooting his but on the floor. I had been giving him Bernie's Perfect Poop, which worked very well but he did not like the taste. The Olewo dried carrots work as well, maybe even better, than Bernie's Perfect Poop, and my pup seems to prefer the taste. I give him one teaspoon soaked in warm water once a day and his stools have been firm, easy to pick up, and he has stopped scooting. I notice a big difference in his stool when I don't give him the Olewo carrots, so we'll be customers for life.
My Japanese Chin would get bouts of water poop. One day she would be ok, next out of clear blue you had the worst feeling little girl around. She would sit and kind of roll around like her tummy hurt. Vet checked her and could not see why this would happen but one of the girls at the office mentioned this. So I ordered it and in 2 days she was back to normal poop. The girl at the office suggested taking Butterball ground turkey. Mix about the size of a hamburger in a bowl and fix the water in the microwave for 40 seconds. Put in carrots, put in a tablespoon of organic pumpkin and a little of her regular kibble. Mix it up let it cool so she does not burn her mouth and sit it down and watch her wag her tail and look at me with every mouth full as if to say yumm. The turkey the girl at the vet said I would only have to buy once in a great while but to use this recipe for about a week which should use up the 3lb turkey in that time. Then she said to mix the carrot and the pumpkin on her regular food and all should be ok. I am just happy that she is sleeping thru the night and not waking up to run to the door nor fussing about her stomach hurting. I will keep this in a plastic container and make sure it is always on hand.
I bought this for my older dog as she had slightly runny poop, and to add to the problem, my puppy kept eating it. Someone suggested my older dog wasn't digesting her food well enough, so I looked for something to help her. After reading the reviews for this product I felt it was definitely worth a try. Well, after a week her poop is solid and has better color. My puppy doesn't have much interest in it anymore either. So, I solved two of my problems with one product. I'll definitely keep using this!
I was hoping this would work for us. My dog likes real carrots on his food but does not like this. I guess if carrots are the answer to perfect poop then I will just chop up real carrots. Looks weird but doesn’t smell bad but if my dog won’t eat it it does no good.
Our dog had been having loose stool for over a month. Nothing was wrong on any tests at the vet. Our trainer suggested that we try the carrots. Within a week we saw improvement! Now, after about 6 weeks using the carrots, she’s completely back to normal!
I have a red dog and now that summer is warming up, she spends a lot of time outside with me. I was recommended adding these carrots to her food to help keep her coat healthy and dark and I have been super impressed! Another bonus is every poop is now a perfect poop, these will be added to my standard feeding routine!
My dog has reoccurring panic attacks whenever her glands get a little uncomfortable. This product was vet recommend for a natural remedy. It works! She loves the taste, no longer has panic attacks, plus she now has a be soft and shiny hair coat!
Surprised that this worked so well! My dog is on medications that can cause loose stools. Tried different supplements, and this one seemed to be the best. It solidified the stools within 2 days. I ordered a larger bag to keep my dog on this supplement.
My dog has had chronic diarrhea since adopting him; he had whip worms which gave him gastroenteritis which then caused pancreatitis. Since owning him, he has not had a solid stool. We're waiting for some test results to come in, but that could take a week or two, and on top of that my vet went on paternity leave. I was absolutely desperate. After a single feeding using this topper, the very next stool my dog passed was perfect. Immediately bought the bigger bag the next day. Miracle product.
