I thought the Omega Paw litter box was a great concept when I saw it for the first time. Wrong! 1. Grate sifter does not stay in place most of the time 2. When the box is roll over, the litter comes out almost every time 3. Once you install the easy-fill hood, it cannot be removed 4. I bought it on January 12, 2023 and, when I rolled over last night, the cover broke!! Very very cheap low-quality plastic!! I can't believe it. In less than 3 months and the box is broken and unusable!!! Worst cat litter box ever.
Swivel hood issue
I love the idea of the swivel hood for refilling litter, but sadly it doesn’t latch at all so it tends to swing down all the time. That makes the opening smaller for the cat to get into the box. Also the hinge snaps are now made of plastic which could be more susceptible to breaking.
Good concept, needs some work
I volunteer with a cat rescue and also have some rescues of my own. I bought this in hopes that it would make life a little easier. I tried and tried to make it work, using suggestions in other reviews. Sadly, this is going out to curb on trash day, money totally wasted.
Great for a *new* cat owner!
I originally bought a slightly older version of this box (without the litter slide at the entrance) and have used it for about two years with my first cat. I had never dealt with litter before, and was very adamant on not seeing/dealing with litter as much as possible. As long as setup is done correctly, and no litter is allowed to fall between the lid edge and bottom, the actual rolling gimmick works great and as advertised. I did frequently run into issues with litter sticking to the bottom, but a slight shake and regular deep cleaning can keep that down to a minimum. Across the two years or so I’ve had this box it has held up fairly well - with only slight stress/stretch marks on the clips. I will say that over time (and after getting a second cat recently), I’ve come to prefer just scooping. And this is where the my major gripe with this box comes from: when compared to just scooping, you will use considerably more litter unless you are willing to roll and trash the used litter multiple times during a cleaning. You can save a lot of time and money by just using a normal box! The mechanism that’s supposed to save time, can really eat up time (and money) in the long run. This box is also smaller than the comparative more conventional box due to the sift, but my cat never really seemed to have an issue with it. It is something I’d keep in mind if you have more than one, kitty, however! I do think this box served it’s purpose, and did it well. When I was still iffy on dealing with litter in any way, it kept it out of site as much as possible during cleaning with the roll gimmick, and held up well over time. If you are in a similar spot, I’d completely recommend this box. This box is pretty darn good at what it sets out to accomplish - I just don’t know if it really needs to accomplish it!
Regular Size
I have the older version, I got it for our kittens. It works well, our adult cats wouldn’t fit in it comfortably. It does have to be rolled daily, which is a challenge on nights I work. I haven’t noticed any spell or any mess from it. I love the little litter foot catcher in the front.

I read several reviews before deciding to order this litter box. Before using the box I glued the top and bottom together with E-6000 and removed the easy fill funnel, I knew my cats would not like a small entry way. It works perfectly. A very small amount of litter spills out of the door both when rolling the box but it is a very small amount. So far I am very happy with this product.
Nice but needs to have more research
Purchased this unit because of the easy fill feature. Only that it falls short of it must be held in place and won’t retain and stay stored. It would fall back into the box entrance if I would not tape it to stay out of the box doorway.
Great litter box but has a flaw.
I had 2 Litter-Robots but when one died after 5yrs of use I needed to find a replacement. I didn’t feel like spending big bucks for another one (although they are worth it, and I would love to get the newest model) so I found this one. It works basically the same way but you manually roll it over. I love that the waste ends up in a drawer that you just pull out and dump. The scoop tab on top to add litter is a nice feature but unfortunately it doesn’t stay in place. I tried taping it but eventually it starts falling again and for the price I shouldn’t need to tape it.
Love this litter box!!
Best litter box I have ever had. Have used the lift and sift formed ones, the plastic sifters, and a few others. This one is easiest on my back to clean. Just remember to not put too much litter in it, only enough that will go into the sifting section. Too much litter will make it pop out and you have to redo it all (after taking the excess litter out) I use a lot less litter as well.
I love this littlerbox
My son did set it up right for me, so I understand some of the reviewers frustration, but I have been using it for two years, and it works great. If litter sticks to the bottom a little thump of my hand on the bottom of the box releases it and it falls into the drawer, so much easier than scooping!!
