    No Scratching Post

    By on

Product is well made but none of our three cats show any interest in it AT ALL. The first Omega Paw I purchased was a couple of years ago at least. The material was more cloth like but held up like a charm. The cats used it ALL THE TIME. I finally decided a new one was in order and the only one available was the sisal version. If it wasn't such a hassle as I already threw the GIANT sized box it arrived in away I would send it back. Going to donate it to a shelter if they are accepting donations.

    poor substitue

    By on

Don't waste your money.. a few years ago I got my cats a scratching pad that could hang from a door.. It was a substantial piece of wood covered with sisal and carpet. fabulous.. The one i have is about done. so I looked for something similar.. came up with this. boy am I sorry.. It is flimsy .. cardboard. and my cat has already ( in a bit over a week) ripped the sisal off the cardboard. It is so light, that when he uses it.. it flips.. the only good thing about it is that my cats use it..

Cheaply made, but cat likes it

    By on

I purchased this because of the reviews that other owners had cats who liked it (and my older kitten does like it). But I have to say it is much more cheaply made than it looks. It is basically a piece of foam wrapped with a sisal sheet and has plastic end caps. I had to glue the seam down the center back because it had lifted from the foam and one of the end caps because it wasn't fully attached. It is very lightweight but that seemed to work for the area under the bed where I wanted it to keep my youngest from scratching the frame of the bed. I'm not recommending it because of how cheaply it is made but it could serve a purpose to someone so you would have to decide for yourself. "Lean-It Anywhere" NOT effective. Overall, too Light-weight.

    By on

I am disappointed with the price vs quality of this item. For it's size, it is disappointingly too light-weight. Consequently the "Lean-it Anywhere" feature failed. It rocked around when my 15# cat used it in the 'leaning' position. So he walked away from it. {I was the customer who asked about the Sisal on both sides.} Although the Sisal 'Wrap-Around' is a good strong quality; the seam is runs right down the middle of the reverse side. DER! And again, the lack of weight to support the overall size of the Cat Scratching Post left me regretting my decision to purchase this rather than the slightly smaller, and a little more costly, different brand.

    doesn’t lean

    By on

Doesn’t lean well or stay, scared my cats because it fell and tipped when they scratched it upright.

    No mess scratching

    By on

Happy to not have the cardboard pieces everywhere. Although, because this is curved, it does not lay flat like the cardboard scratches. And my 7 lb cat is aggressive, so I have it secured between my dining table leg and the wall to keep it from falling over.

    Bamboo Scratcher

    By on

Bamboo is working great. They scratch the cardboard to pieces & it makes a mess. So far this is working well. I would still prefer the old type that was curved but had rope throughout. Now it just has a tiny bit of rope and cloth. The cloth does not hold up.

    Grrrrrrrreat!

    By on

My cat LOVES this scratcher! Although it is designed to lean against a wall, we have it lying flat on the floor, which is the way she prefers it (she has other upright scratching posts, but only 1 flat one). It is a huge hit, and the rubber pads that are used for leaning protect the floor from scrapes as she scratches.
