To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the cloth tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

Great, but not for REALLY strong dogs.
By Sharon on Feb 18, 2021
I love this harness, it was fairly easy to adjust and it definitely helped a bit with pulling to give me more control. However, I wouldn't recommend using it on a tie out if your dog is very strong. My 45lb (9 years old) bully mix completely snapped one of the clasps when he ran to the end of his run today. He is ridiculously strong though, so I don't necessarily fault the harness for it.

Meh...not impressive harness
By Jolie on Jan 14, 2021
My dog is a front leg amputee. I thought this would work well for her due to the various adjustable straps, but, the sizing seems off based on the manufacturer's suggestions, which I followed before ordering. The front straps (for neck) don't quite get tight enough. Although the rear straps can adjust to fit her well, the body length of the harness needed to be longer. Besides the sizing of this product being off, the quality is so-so - mediocre and not the level of durability I was expecting from a tactical harness.

Awesome! Love it and looks great
By Crae on Feb 4, 2021
This harness is absolutely awesome and the best part is that I purchased this and that day my pup chewed it, chewy replaced it! So happy to deal with you guys and it is a pleasure and I certainly was not expecting them to replace the harness due to me pup chewing it! Thank you guys so so much and thank you for the excellent customer service!

Very cute vest!
By Sarah on Feb 5, 2021
This harness is so adorable - it was a tad too big for my dog though, but the return process was SO easy. Chewy has the best customer service. I realized that I ordered the wrong size once we received it, but it was super nice quality, and the green color was tooo cute. I'm hoping they restock on some smaller sizes soon.

Tactical vest harness
By Jwilk on Feb 14, 2021
This harness has turned out to be the best! When we got it the straps were hanging everywhere even though we tightened them as best we could. No instructions came with it. We finally Googled it and found out it is meant to be trimmed down. It fits perfectly! Yay for Chewy!

A must have vest!
By Emmy on Jan 20, 2021
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I use this vest paired with the OneTigris training bungee leash. I use the medium size for my 4 month old German Shepard, it is cinched to its smallest size, with plenty of room to grow with the dog. I use the large size with my 11 German Shepard/ Husky mix, he is 120lbs, there is plenty of room for him with this vest. Easy to put on and seems very comfortable for the dogs :)

Dog Harness
By Jasss on Jan 29, 2021
I love the quality although I read all of the dimensions and it should be fitting my dog but yet it appears to be too loose. So I decided to cut the little stitches so that I can tighten it all the way down for a perfect fit. I can say now it fits perfectly after moving the stitching.

Great Harness
By Sanders on Feb 14, 2021
Fits well! We got this a little big for our Golden Retriever to fit in for a long time. It’s pretty easy to adjust, and it’s really nice that the entire under carriage comes off. That way you don’t have to slide it over their head. Nice and durable so far!

One Tigris
By Mark on Jan 25, 2021
I purchased this for a 7 month old Bermese Mtn Dog puppy. Did the measurements. It was too small. I eventually went to Petsmart and had an employee assist with a XL harness. It took trying on a few before the perfect fit was found. I have learned that items like this should be purchased in person.

Weakest part is the d-ring
By Phil on Dec 26, 2020
I've been walking my dog with this harness twice a day for nearly two years and today the d-ring broke as I pulled my dog away from something smelly on the ground (black lab ... it happens all the time).I didn't even pull very hard—I guess the metal had just had enough and gave up. I knew when I bought the harness this would eventually happen. The ring is cast metal, not nearly as strong as heavy gauge wire rings or forged metal. Cast metal simply CANNOT withstand the constant banging and pulling of walking a strong dog. Luckily, it didn't happen in traffic or when we encountered a cat or squirrel. Anyway, since the ring was sewn into the vest, there is no way to fix it without a heavy duty I've been walking my dog with this harness twice a day for nearly two years and today the d-ring broke as I pulled my dog away from something smelly on the ground (black lab ... it happens all the time).I didn't even pull very hard—I guess the metal had just had enough and gave up. Even if I could fit a carabiner into the loop, the flat nylon webbing wouldn't last long against the round contours of the 'biner and would eventually tear through the nylon or the stitching. It's a shame, because the rest of the harness is well made and looks great. … more
