It's meh I guess

I used this on my 1 year old male cat. He is about 15-17 pounds. This product did not get rid of the fleas at all. He still has them and I'm debating on if I need to put another dose on him even though it hasn't been a month yet. This is his first time with flea medication and he seemed to tolerate it (even after licking it like a dummy). I put it right between his shoulder blades as directed. I'm still having to fleacomb him every other day and am still getting live fleas off of him. My older cat can't use any flea medication as she is allergic to it and gets severe skin reactions to it all. She also doesn't have fleas. They aren't kept separate. They are both indoor only cats. They are both brushed daily and flea combed every other day. The fleas just go after my younger cat for some reason. I've tried bathing him as well and grooming him. They keep coming back. This was my last attempt.

Hate this product

This flea medicine didn't even last a full week on my babies. Thought it was a good deal to try it out, but if I have to apply it more than 1 time a month, it's not saving, instead it's costing me a fortune.

Works as Promised

Ours are indoor outdoor kitties so it is important that flea reduction works. This product lasts the whole month providing protection for them and us from the little biters...

Waste of money

Effect lasts less than a week. I tried for 2 months thinking I may have received expired product, but same results on second try.

Cats still scratching

I am not sure this brand works that well my cats are itching already and they do not go outside. So I am questioning how well it really works

horrible product

Used this as a substitute for revolution waiting till vet visit, and this is the first time my cats have gotten fleas in 4 years, absolutely did nothing. Waste of time and money!

Caused irritation and hair loss

Three days after applying Onguard, I noticed hair loss and irritated skin on one of my cats at the application site. I've never had an issue using other topical flea meds, like Revolution. I will absolutely not be purchasing this product again.

Left sores and bald spot

Tried on my cat and it left sores on her back near the tail and a bald spot. Had to apply medicine to get rid of the sores. Now need to find a different flea medicine

Flea control

So far this product has worked well. Not seeing any ticks on the animals treated so far. Animals are still scratching but could be from existing bites

Doesn't Work

There's a reason it's the cheapest flea treatment on Chewy. You get what you pay for. I got a cat with fleas.
