Onguard Plus works to eliminate fleas in all life stages. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your dog has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. Don’t worry, Onguard Plus starts working immediately on any new fleas that get on your dog, eliminating them within 24 hours from contact. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

It's been unseasonably warm in CT for the middle of Nov so we've had a mini-tick boom. I bought Advantix, not realizing it was fleas only & I didn't want to spend another $50, so I bought this 23-44lb 3 pack for my 40lb Cattle dog and 25lb Terrier mixes. I combed through both their fur to make sure they were tick free and applied each of their doses to the skin at the base of their necks. About 5 days later I've pulled a bloated tick off each of them. The drops seem to be working for other people, but I was nervous that it was too good to be true for the price. Well, it definitely hasn't worked for us yet. Maybe it'll take a few more days. We'll see. But so far, no luck. I put "no" on "would you recommend to a friend?" But as of right now I'm not sure. I guess we'll give it another couple of days.
My vet recommended I stick with Simparica Trio or use Nexguard for fleas. I wanted to use something a little less invasive and try out a topical treatment. My mistake. My poor dog got fleas for the first time ever not 2 days after using this for the first time :( I guess the low price of this wasn't worth it. Also, after some research, though this is the same active ingredient as Frontline, Frontline has been on the market for over 10 years and most ticks are resistant to these ingredients now. Chewy refunded me thankfully but I won't use this again.
I live in Ga and with my 3 rescue dogs this did not work. Might be the area because we don't get cold weather to kill fleas and summer months very hot
Less expensive than most flea and tick prevention and works just as well. Glad I ordered it from Chewy!
Had her on it for a couple of months to check to see if it would slowly build up but NO. The bugs in the south are numerous and very voracious. This might work in other locations but not in the Southern US.
I live in the south where flea season is pretty much all year round and this did not work for my 40 pound, short haired mut. I have pulled multiple fleas off of her since using this. Would not recommend.
I purchased this brand over the more expensive because it appeared to have a higher amount of medication than the other. I'm not 100% sure it is working. My dog continues to scratch and chew but this may be allergies. I haven't seen any fleas recently so we will continue to monitor the next few doses and see if it improves.
This product was ok at first but as summer got hotter it didn't work. Very disappointed.
I bought 2 boxes, thinking it was going to work. I applied as directions said, my poor little dogs, they both are still miserable. It did not stop all of the bugs or fleas. It was as I did nothing at all. Very dis Satisfied, the Price was Reasonable was why, I tried. What actually will work on a small/medium Fiest ? They both have short hair, but stay outside. Fleas are eating them up, we treated our yard with Adam's Flea repellant too. We dip the dogs, with another Adam's product. No help. So, I tried these once a month treatment. No help ?
Works great! Give a nice flea bath beforehand and then apply- make sure they're clean! great price and no fleas or ticks seen! Happy pup!
