A Disappointing Experience

I must say that I had high hopes for the Optixcare Dog & Cat Eye Cleaning Wipes, 50 count, but unfortunately, my experience has been rather disappointing. These wipes simply don't seem to be effective for tear stain wiping, and they are not adequately moist to get the job done. It's disheartening to note that even Chewy's vets recommend this product, yet the results have been less than satisfactory. I had hoped for a better solution for my furry friend's eye care needs, and it's disappointing when a product doesn't live up to its promises.

Soft and gentle eye wipes

These are nice wipes for the eyes but didn't do what we needed it to for our little dog. She gets crusty places in the corner of her eyes and we wash her face 2 times a day to try to keep this under control until she sees the groomer every 6 weeks. They are soft on her eyes and we do cut them in half only for cost factor but wipes me fine for other eye issues on dogs. If they had worked for her I would have continued to purchase them. I recommend these but you need to try to see if they fit your dogs needs.

Optixcare

My Yorkie Beau gets eye goo not that he is older and it would be a fight to clean them until I started using these wipes. I think he is even looking forward to his morning wipe.

bummertown, moldtown

I purchased these wipes in 2022 and have used them periodically. They worked really great. I pulled them out today to use on my cat's eyes and there was mold on them. The package expires 12/2023 so this is a bummer that they must be thrown away. Not sure I would purchase again if they aren't going to last til their expiration date, and even the fact that something used for eye cleaning grew mold is concerning.

Eye wipes

I have a Frenchie and his eyes and muscle need to be kept clean daily. These wipes help especially around the eye area and muzzle. I also use baby wipes, fragrance, free, alcohol, free, etc.

Wipes aren’t wet enough

I tried these wipes because a previous eye wipes brand was discontinued. I have to grab a wad of these wipes just for one eye because not wet enough. I saw a review that it caused a chemical burn so not sure if it’s a coincidence but my Maltese developed raw spots by his eyes where I wiped shortly after. I took him to vet and suddenly he had conjunctivitis and can’t imagine how. I keep everything clean and wash his belongings often. Again not sure if coincidence but I switched to these wipes then he had eye issues.

Wipes aren't wet enough...

My senior chi's eye boogers are getting out of control and crust up when dry. These wipes have a minimal scent and are indeed gentle but the wipes are so dry! I wish the package came with more solution in it so I don't have to scrub his face with the wipes, which he hates. I wouldn't buy again and may try a spray next time and apply that onto a cotton ball instead.

Looked like a chemical burn!

I used one of these wipes for the first time the other morning and that evening I noticed a red area on his face. Upon closer examination I saw 2 good size raw, oozing open areas in the skin fold on his face where I had gently applied the wipe earlier in the day. I love the optixcare plus eye gel, but I will never use the cleansing wipes again. After a few days of applying an antibiotic ointment to the area it is almost healed. It may work fine for some dogs, but not for mine.

Ear care

Wipes really worked great. Need to get the drops for little ones.
