Safe & effective for canine dry mouth.
My dog had to have 4 salivary glands removed due to mucocele. This is the only gel for dry mouth that doesn't contain Xylitol, which is extremely toxic to dogs even in tiny amounts. I rub it on her teeth & gums and let her lick a blob off my finger. It really helps.
Orange dental gel
Been using for one week and no noticeable change. May take longer? Thought I read reviews that good results were noticed right away.

Good results in senior dog
My senior dog has been plagued with dental issues for the 12 years that I've had her, despite daily brushing. She's needed dental cleanings and extractions every 2 years due to eatly signs of periodontal disease and infected teeth. I was previously using Virbacs enzymatic toothpaste, but I felt it wasn't doing it's job, so I switched to Oratene at the instruction of my dog's veterinarian. It's been 3 years since her last dental and her teeth & gums look great with no signs of plaque or periodontal disease. I'm hoping she never needs a dental cleaning again because anesthesia makes me nervous at her age. I use this as her nightly toothpaste and rub a small amount on her gums after. She loves the taste and accents having her teeth cleaned with this gel much better than others I have tried.

This works!
Used the oral gel on senior dog with sore gums and suspected periodontal disease. After one week switched over to the toothpaste gel. (2.5 oz) with occasional fresh aloe vera gel and daily coconut oil. My little buddy is much happier and enjoying his food again. Recommend this especially if your little friend cannot undergo dental cleaning. Thanks again Chewy!

I love the product, but didn't realize I'd ordered the 1 oz tube! The 2.5 just costs a little more, so be careful when you click.
It Is Working
Using this along with the Oratene spray. Both are working. Although the results are small so far, they are noticeable. I plan to continue using as instructed to yield further results.
Expiration date is missing
I see that LOT is Sep. 01, 2022 but I have no idea when does it get expired.
Oratene Teeth and Gum Gel
I am using this on my cat for his teeth. He lets me brush his teeth with this product. His teeth are squeeky clean
