I've bought these before when they only had the medium size and my dog was not very fond of them, plus, they were loaded with calories. He gained 2lbs! Now with buying the x-small he is back to 9lbs and they really work! His teeth are much cleaner and he now even likes the taste when he didn't before.
He loves them!
Our dog loves his nightly dental chew. They are individually wrapped, so they stay fresh and are easy to feed. These last much longer than the brush shaped ones, and clean better, too. After using for 2 weeks his breath is also much improved.
My mini dachshund likes these. 2 months ago had her teeth cleaned and they still look good. Con: ingredients are not listed other than the dental chemical.
Sophie loves 'em!
I never expected my dog would love her edible 'toothbrushes' but she is absolutely crazy about them. They are her favorite treat. Everynight, my 'shadow' lies in the door of the bathroom, watching me brush my teeth and just waiting for me to take a Chew from the container on the vanity. She races to the bed, jumps on her towel, and waits for me to put it down. She sort of hides while she eats it, as though she's afraid I'll take it away. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Dentist loves them...I love them
And best of all, my fur-baby loves them. She has had pretty good dental check-ups since she started chewing these up...!
my 3 hooligans love them
The minute I take them from the package, my 3 little dogs line up, waiting somewhat impatiently for me to remove the wrappers. They love theses
Dogs love them
My dogs love these! Worth the price. My 15 year old dog just had dental surgery and these will help his teeth.
Stale dental chews
Even though it’s not outdated the OreVet dental hygiene chew delivered we’re as hard as a rock so Stale that my dog can’t chew them. I have got this product from my dogs vet after getting my dogs teeth cleaned and they weren’t this hard at all!
Dog gets too impatient trying to chew this!
I seem to be the odd one out, and maybe it’s because my dog is so small/young, but my 1yo TFT has such trouble chewing this tough taffy-like treat she gets bored and “gives up”—she LOVES all food and treats so it shocked me that she’d be too bored to keep trying, but I also don’t think vanilla is her favorite flavor so not much incentive to power through. I can see how these are effective for most dogs though—I saw it clean on her first try! She got brown gunk all over the treat from her plaque and one of her back molars looked like it had been scraped a little just from one session. But her poor little jaw has to work so hard she gets frustrated and quits out of boredom lol. But I can see how for most dogs this is exactly why it works—it’s like a sticky tough taffy so it pulls things right off the surface and takes FOREVER to chew through unlike a greenie which they can just swallow in two bites. I would say yes for chewers, no for dogs who don’t love vanilla and don’t care enough to slowly gnaw get the taste! Also, she luckily got bored and gave up, but I’d be nervous about dogs who would try *too* hard and pull out a tooth gnawing too hard! I’d be nervous to eat this myself that it would hurt my own teeth, so definitely watch your dog while they eat this!
