    Good food for my pup

    By on

I cook/ed for my dog all of his meals because I wanted to ensure that he was eating all of his necessary nutrients. He had gotten into something and we had to put him on prescription food to wait for the colitis to pass. In the meantime, he was in love with his dog food (I was a bit hurt, ha!). After the colitis disappeared, we transitioned him to this brand. We do all three flavors (Beef and Pork, Beef and Lamb and Chicken Dinner). This guy goes nuts for it. The first thing I noticed was that upon opening the can, it actually smelt like ground beef and gravy. Also, his poo doesn't smell like "dog poo" and just smells like regular poo...random comment but dogs have similar digestive tracts to I cook/ed for my dog all of his meals because I wanted to ensure that he was eating all of his necessary nutrients. Just food for thought to think about what you feed your dogs. I wanted to avoid extruded food which is essentially dried out dog food (kibble) rehydrated and put into a can. This is actual ground beef/lamb/chicken prepared normally. … more

This should have been a home run. Instead if was a strike out

Lately Bailey has been leaning toward pates. This should have been a new favorite of hers. She likes both beef and pork, but I guess she does not like them in the same bowl. She refused the first and 2nd bowls - as in not eating them at all. Anything put on top of the bowl to entice her and she ate that, but not the food underneath. After having to toss both bowls she did not eat, I cannot recommend it. One star as Bailey affixes them.
