  • Edible Bone (5−10%) Bone, marrow and cartilage provide calcium, phosphorus, glucosamine and chondroitin without any artificial additives.
  • Organ Meat (10−15%) Fresh liver and tripe are richly nourishing sources of vitamins and minerals, including iron, zinc, and vitamins A, B and D.

  • Cured my dogs skin issues

    By on

This food is amazing! after three years of trial and error with my male golden retrievers skin issues this food has been the solution. He was diagnosed as a puppy with itchiosis and allergies. he would shed his skin on a daily basis, huge flakes if I brushed him I would have a pile of dry skin. Many many vet visits and medications did nothing for his skin or his allergies. We tried about 6 different brands Taste OF The Wild, Holistic Select, Nutrasource, Pro Plan, Earthborne and a few prescription diets with no luck. We also tried the Acana made by the same company he was still flaky and itchy. After two months feeding six fish his skin was clear!!! I couldn't believe it no more hot spots no This food is amazing! after three years of trial and error with my male golden retrievers skin issues this food has been the solution. I highly recommend this food for pups that have skin and coat issues or a dull coat, the ingredients say it all. My female golden also had issues with yeast before switching to this food. I always receive many compliments on how beautiful their coats are. … more

  • My English Bulldog is Allergy Free for First Time

    By on

Orijen Six Fish Dog Food has changed all of our lives and my English Bulldog looks and feels amazing and it's truly a miracle. After many visits to Veterinarian Dermatologists, 60 day food trials, and not much luck, we finally figured out our dog is allergic to chicken, beef and all meat products. It was impossible to find a food that didn't contain even a trace of meat product, flavoring or anything related. This dog food does not have any trace of meat related products, is well balanced and I am familiar with every ingredient on the label! Nothing that you've never heard of or cannot pronounce. • My Boston Loves it!

    By on

Our dog trainer recommended Orijen when our Boston was a pup. Sure, it's pricey - however, it is pure protein. Our dog Beau (32 Lb.) only eats what he needs - never overeats, has no digestion or elimination problems and the small bag lasts about a month.

  • The best food ever

    By on

I have always fed my German Shepherds Orijen, so when my boyfriend and I got an 11mo German Shepherd I went straight for this food again. It is the best food on the market! My dogs have always had wonderful coats and teeth with this food. The 6 fish even helps with the shedding. Our dog is protection trained and is in training for competitions so he need a high protein food to keep up with him and this brand does the trick. I love this food!!

  • You CAN NOT find anything better!

This is by far the best quality dog food you can purchase. Let me Tell you why. It's grain, corn, wheat , soy, tapioca , potato, sweet potato, and rice free. Potatoes and rice can cause yeast issues and they leave them out. Very hard to find in other brands. They have their own grass fed, free-range, local farners. It's antibiotic, hormone and GMO free. The fish are wild caught or responsibly farmed. The farmers sell exclusively to them with the exception of a few that sell to high end restaurants. Yes, the meat is human grade! They never outsource, meaning they have their own facility to make the food and do not let anyone else make the food. They never outsource, meaning they have their own facility to make the food and do not let anyone else make the food. Big reason why many companies have recalls. In addition, they test and hold every batch to prevent recalls! They've never had a recall! All the meat arrives within several days of harvest and 2/3 is put directly into the food. The other 1/3 is flash frozen , different from regular freezing. This preserves as many nutrients as possible. They use whole prey ratios . Meat, ORGAN, CARTILAGE , AND BONE. Just like in the wild. The carbs they use are kept to a minimum and are low on the glycemic index. They burn slow for lasting energy. Our 60 pound Doberman Pinscher eats only 2.75 cups of Orijen per day. She is VERY active too. A little goes a long way. They have left out the poor quality fillers. Lastly they use many botanicals like rosehips and sarsaparilla root...which all have their purposes from detoxifying the body to strengthening the immune system. Topped off with probioitics at the end! Our pup looks like an oil slick in the distance, and by FAR the shiniest Doberman we have seen ..no yeast issues, nothing. Her health is at its peak! Take a look at the attached photos. She has aren't it since 8.5 weeks old! Will never feed anything else, and working at a specialty food store, I saw many people who say the food completely turned their dog's health around. It really is worth the money and you truly know you are putting the absolute BEST in your dog! … more

  • Customer service to the rescue on Origen order!

    By on

When placing my first order st Chewy.com, I accidentally ordered CAT food instead of dog food. When I saw my error in my confirmation email the following morning, I called customer service. The custom service rep was amazing. Although the cat food had already shipped, the rep credited the cost back to my account, recommended that I donate the cat food to my local humane shelter and shipped off my dog food order free of charge. Two weeks later, the carb-free Orijen diet has significantly improved my dog's health by eliminating the allergic yeast in my dog's gut and the yeasty skin patches on her hind quarters. It's a great product... just like the quality of Chewy.com's customer service!

  • Great quality, but too rich

Looking to help people who are torn between what's right for your dog vs what looks like a great kibble on paper I have been feeding my french bulldog this formula since I got him, so that's been about a year. After doing so much research I decided Orijen was about the best. The ingredients are too notch and the carb percentage isn't too high. I love that it's about everything-free. Grain , soy gluten etc. About a month ago I started doing some research to see if there was an alternative that could be better and or cheaper. I didn't want to sacrifice quality but just wanted to see what I could be doing differently. My dogs stool was very .. I didn't want to sacrifice quality but just wanted to see what I could be doing differently. My dogs stool was very .. "temperamental" sometimes good, sometimes not and I had been attributing it to a sensitive stomach and the treats I was feeding him. While true that he has a sensitive stomach, I have since changed brands and am feeding him kibble that perhaps doesn't rival the ingredient list of orijen, but his much better for his digestive health. I initially recommended my mom to start her dog on orijen but he was having similar stool problems and now she's switching her dog too. In sum, great quality product on paper but in practice it was just too rich for my dog, despite having pros like being soy/gluten/grain free etc. I have now switched to Fromm and my dogs stools are way more predictable. I also didn't like the change in factories that this company implemented several months ago. … more

  • Orijen rocks!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

At the recommendation of Orijen, I'll be switching my overweight senior Doberman over to the Six Fish formula, which is lower in fat and higher in Glucosamine, in hopes that it aids in additional weight loss. We're still in the process of switching, but he loves it, and I love the wholesomeness of any Orijen product.

  • Orijen 6 Fish Grain- Free Dry Dog Food

    By on

My Goldador loves this food. We have tried Original and Regional Red, but have the best results with 6 Fish. With Regional Red she had stomach issues at first and her stools were always large and loose. With 6 Fish her stools are smaller and firm that leads me to believe she is digesting more nutrients of her food.
