Rated 4 out of 5 by SeaDog Better poo, better pooch
Shortly after beginning my pups on another food, soft stools, and diarrhea became a daily occurrence. I thought I may have changed too abruptly, so I bought a second month's worth. It did not get better. One of my dog's is a Decker Rat Terrier named Earl, the other Lilly, a Border Collie Mix rescue girl, with major hip arthritis from untended damage as a youngster. Since switching, stools have firmed up, volume has decreased and her gait is more free than it has ever been! Also, both "kids" have better breath! This food is pricey but so far I've been able to cut out Lilly's joint supplementation as this contains the same ingredients which saves about $15 monthly. I did not give 5 stars because they've only been on the food 2 weeks. I am feeding less (per package instructions) than previous food. If they continue to improve, maintain weight, and Lilly's gait remains better I will gladly give the fifth star! So far I am very, very, pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anita Great food, big difference in the itch factor!
My puppy has a sensitivity to chicken, as I discovered with the intense itchiness she had after eating anything containing chicken through a process of elimination. Since she is old enough to start on adult food, I looked into Orijen's adult food offerings. Thankfully they offer 2 options that do not contain chicken. I ordered a bag of the fish and a bag of the regional red. I haven't tried the regional red, but the fish was a big hit with my puppy. She refused to eat her prescription kibble as I started transitioning her to the adult food (she ate the Orijen and spit out the prescription food), but she had zero GI issues, so I transitioned her in less than a week's time. The food does have a distinct smell which is a bit off-putting to me, however my puppy loves it and it doesn't linger too long. I've now transitioned her to a 50-50 mixture with fresh food and she inhales it in 5 minutes or less. She's no longer itchy and her coat is super soft, it's made a noticeable difference, thanks Orijen!

My dog is picky. He's a "grazer" who will NOT eat in a timely manner, and has always had issues with diarrhea, and subsequent gland issues. With Orijen 6 fish, he's like a different dog! He chases me down from the container to where I put his bowl down, and he's eating all in one sitting! His stools have become normal, and he's on a much better eat-poo schedule that I'm sure makes us both more comfortable. I LOVE this food, my pup LOVES this food. So thankful to have found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Homer Great price / Quick Delivery
I needed to order this dog for the first time since my local pet store did not have any. My French Bull dog has bad allergies so this is the only dog food for him. I found exactly the type of dog food I needed and with free shipping the cost was lower than local pet store. The dog food was delivered in 4 days so dog and owner are happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hattrick My dog is totally food driven and he hates this food. My entire family hates the smell.
Our dog tries to steal our cat's food so I thought he'd like this, but he never finishes a meal and often won't touch it for hours after I put it out. My entire family hates the strong smell. He's very food driven but he does not like this food at all. If you're going to try it, I recommend starting with a small bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stacey BEST dog food ever!!
I spent 1.5 years trying to figure out severe allergy issues in my 115 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback. I tried various medicines, foods, etc. You name it. I finally called the breeder and told her the issues we were having and she recommended we try Orijen 6 Fish. I was a bit in sticker shock at first, but figured it was well worth the try (vet bills had become obscene). In only 2-4 weeks, my pup's skin cleared beautifully. I will add that I stopped all other treats my dog ate (I think even things that seemed "safe" had traces of stuff that irritated him). He has now been on this food for about a year and is still completely free of all his allergy issues. I am able to give my dog apples and carrots (and even eggs since I know he's not sensitive to egg) as his treats. He gets only his Orijen food and these couple things. I now recommend Orijen to everyone. Finally, I will just say that after reading the ingredients, I'm not sure how they make it for less than $100 for the 28 pound bag. It's truly quality ingredients and I feel so blessed we've found this solution. My dog LOVES the taste, which is a total bonus. It's admittedly stinky food, but a true reflection of its ingredients.

I haven't had any, but my 5yo GSD has never eaten this fast so it must taste good. I recently had what I thought was a bad batch of dog food, so I had to switch up. I had been feeding Taste of the Wild so I wasn't getting garbage or anything, but the dog just stuck her nose up at it and would puke it up immediately. So I googled best dog food. The one common denominator in my search was always Orijen. I probably could have searched most expensive dog food and gotten the same results. After reading the ingredients I can see why. The only ingredient I dont recognize is the last one. Price would be its downfall. But whats money when youve got a happy dog?
MAYBE the best thing about this food is the bag it comes in. I will describe it as "Foil" (kind of) The inside is some kind of foil that when you crumple it closed it stays closed and I would almost bet you could get it air tight or pretty close if you wanted.
