Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashley Great So Far
Just finished switching our english lab pup over from her original puppy food. The breeder used Hills Science Diet so we kept her on it but decided to upgrade to a higher quality food once she switched over to adult, especially since she stopped eating her kibble unless she was really hungry. Now she's often drooling before I can put the dish on the floor and it's one of the most focused times of the day as she waits for me to say "ok" so she can finally dig in. We were a bit worried about how her digestion would react as she tends to have a somewhat sensitive stomach but she's done great on it so far. We transitioned over about 10 days and I did add a little spoonful of pumpkin with breakfast so that may or may not have helped a bit. Hopefully she continues to love this as it's great to see her so excited to eat her food. While it is pricey, I'm a big believer in your health starting with nutrition and getting as much quality as you can reasonably afford. And for now this seems to be a winner for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fido Seriously worth it!
I met Gunny, an 8 year old English Bull dog 10 months ago. I fell in love with him (and his man, immediately ).
Gunny has had hip surgery and suffers from arthritis . A weight issue exacerbated his problems. His mobility was limited to say the least .
A few hours of online research for a grain free dog food(the inflammation connection , I won't go into it....) led me to Orijen.
Less than 2 months later there are significant changes. We have a slimmer, extremely more active dog. Gunny runs now instead of trudging, he is satisfied with less food, his flatulence has reduced by at least half,YEAHHH!!! We have also noticed a big difference in coat condition. I had a grooming shop for 16 years, his shedding has reduced by at least 75% . I would recommend Orijen for that reason alone.
Needless to say we are thrilled with Orijen ( and still in love with each other, Gunny, his man and I!)
Now if we could only get my cat FIDO EARL to come around . But she IS a cat........

Rated 1 out of 5 by Amethyst Not the same brand sold in stores
I tried feeding my Vizsla this brand and he would not eat it. I disguising it with peanut butter until he refused that. Then I disguised it with rice and chicken. He ate the trial bag I purchase from a local pet store. When the food was done I bought him another trial bag at the local pet store again and he lapped it up. I examined the bags closely and found that they were NOT the same. The one he did not like was a product of Canada whereas the store bought bag was a product from Kansas, USA. The bag made in the USA was a bit vacuumed sealed, had a zip like opening and had fresh looking pellets. The bag that was from Canada had to be cut across the top, it had air in it and the pellets did not look fresh in comparison.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amy72 The BEST!
This food is incredible. I have to admit I have never spent this kind of $ on dog food before so I was extremely sceptical, but it has been worth every penny. I have two large dogs and one of them really struggles with allergies. Lots of scratching and he had bald spots on the back of his ears. He was on allergy medicine that didn't seem to help him so I've been searching for a food both the dogs would like and Orijen has worked wonders. Both dogs LOVE this food and one of my dogs is very picky. My allergy dog is no longer on medication and his hair is growing back! Both of their coats are shiny and soft. This food is worth the extra cost! I highly recommend it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MuttMom5 My dog goes crazy for this stuff
I have a 2-year old 13 lb rescue (JRT/Poodle mix) and have dabbled in different brands since adopting her. It felt like a splurge to try Orijen but she was struggling with some itching in early fall that I wasn't sure was from her food or seasonal allergies. I am also very particular about my human family's food, we try to be organic and non-GMO as much as possible and I really wanted a high quality food for her as well. Anyway, it certainly passes the taste test. I've never seen her react this way to any other brand, she just inhales it and doesn't leave one morsel behind. She is healthy and happy and I see no reason to switch - she just passed her yearly vet check-up with flying colors. It's pricey but she's a small dog so I don't go through bags quickly but I think it would be worth it for a St. Bernard. My hope & ultimate goal is a foundation of high quality nutrition will keep her less likely to have cancer down the road, so many of my friends have lost their dogs to cancer lately.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Darla1 Smells terrible!
My dog ate very little of this food. It smells terrible and the entire kitchen area where her food is smelled horrible. I tried to give it to the neighbor whose dog eats everything and anything, and he wouldn't touch it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Finn10 I have a Golden Retriever(75lbs) of love
I rotate food with every bag so my boy is quite used to variety. In fact, he loves every time we open a new bag. Still, this is one of his favorites. I am well satisfied with the new ingredients after the location change. It didn't bother him a bit. His coat is luxurious and gorgeous. Never a hot spot or matting, even near the ears.
