When switching diets, it’s important to transition your cat or kitten as it takes time for her digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ORIJEN. Over a 5-7 day period, gradually mix in ORIJEN, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% ORIJEN.
The Pinnacle of Nutrition
Cats are obligate carnivores, and they thrive on a biologically appropriate diet. ORIJEN provides optimal feline nutrition by using unsurpassed quantities of fresh or raw meat from a variety of Wholeprey animal protein sources.
85-90% Animal Ingredients
With 85-90% premium animal ingredients, each ORIJEN cat food recipe provides essential protein, vitamins and minerals in their most nourishing forms. It’s a meaty diet designed to feed your cat’s carnivorous cravings.
Nourish As Nature Intended
Fresh ingredients preserved solely through refrigeration and raw ingredients frozen at the peak of freshness stay true to their natural form. This minimalist approach preserves important nutrients and keeps closer to the diet your feline evolved to eat.
15 FRESH OR RAW INGREDIENTS
With at least 15 fresh or raw ingredients in every recipe, ORIJEN kibble is the closest thing to feeding a raw diet.
ORIJEN'S WHOLEPREY DIET
ORIJEN recipes include meat, organs, and bone, so your cat can enjoy the most nutrient-dense and succulent parts of the prey.
FIRST 5 INGREDIENTS
The first 5 ingredients are always fresh or raw animal sources, including nutrient-rich meat, fish, poultry, whole fish, and organs.
Transitioning to ORIJEN
Acclimate your cat to a new ORIJEN diet by transitioning gradually from the old food you were feeding. Start by replacing 25% of the old diet with ORIJEN food, increasing the new food amount proportionally over the next 10-14 days. By the end of the second week, you should be feeding 100% ORIJEN.
About ORIJEN

Their Wholeprey approach means including the most nutrient-dense and delicious parts of the prey in their recipes, to deliver the natural whole nutrition cats and dogs evolved to eat. Orijen is the BEST!
By KarenA on Mar 30, 2021
I've been feeding my cats Orijen for years. So glad Chewy is carrying it now. I convinced a friend with a very picky senior kitty to try it and the change in her cat was amazing. She used to buy subpar dry cat food full of corn and other fillers. I told her many times corn is not for Cats, read the ingredient list not the flashy description on the front of the bag. She is now a devoted Orijen fan as well.

Good food, but...
By TommyToby on Mar 1, 2021
Orijen seems like really good food. But my cats don't like it, not even after slowly transitioning them from their old food (Nutro) to the new food (Orijen). They just refuse to eat it. It's a shame because I really wanted them to like Orijen because it's a healthy food and I really care about their health. I guess it's back to the Nutro for now, at least until I can find another healthy food that they will eat. So I will save the Orijen for the stray cats around my neighborhood.

The best food
By bella on Mar 20, 2021
We got this for our 9 year old cat. After multiple vet visit and a diet change due to her excessively licking and losing hair wr switched to this food. Her hair has started to grow back and she eats so much of this food. When I fill her bowl she will start to purr. I. So glad we made this her new food. We will be sticking too it and would highly recommend.

Great but storage...
By SunnyDays on Mar 29, 2021
My cats love this, they have gotten picky and won't eat anything else but this brand unless it's freeze dried treats. Great product- would really be much better if they had a way to seal it! It's a large bag, needs some kind of air-tight zipper closure, then it would be 5 stars!

Best dry food brand out there
By Liasdad72 on Mar 15, 2021
I have been using Orijen for a few years and can tell you it is the real deal. My kitties coat and litter box habits are spotless. They also eat less of this as opposed to lesser cat foods because of the top shelf ingredients. I highly recommend it as it will surely save you vet bills down the line.

Best Dry Food!
By Carolyn on Mar 9, 2021
My 6month kitten goes just as crazy about this dry food then her wet food and I’m hear for it!!!!! I free feed her this dry food all day and wet food twice a day, she doesn’t overrate either. This is the second food I’ve tired on her and I knew this was the one when she started making holes to dig in and eat!

4 cats on this
By Ginnie on Mar 17, 2021
Happy to be able to get this from Chewy again Our 4 cats have been in this from the beginning and we don’t want to switch. It’s pricey but the vet bills are even more so.

Orajen is back!
By Chapmanne on Feb 9, 2021
Awhile back, Chewy stopped carrying Orajen cat food, which my vet had recommended years ago. Last week, when I was ordering their canned food, I saw that Chewy was , once again, carrying it. Naturally, I ordered some, as I would definitely rather order from them. Chewy - is the best - I don’t know how they deliver so fast - we basically live in the middle of nowhere. As you can see, I love my cats - so much that I made them a scratch sofa to put in our sunroom. Well done!

Nona loves Orijen
By MaryEllen on Mar 21, 2021
Nona had to select a new brand of food since Royal Canin wasn’t in stock. This new food doesn’t have any filler. Nona is an eater and would like more than half a cup. Nona is an eater.

healthy and easy to feed cats
By Mila on Mar 21, 2021
My cat loves this stuff. I usually give her Dr elsey's clean protein, but they recently sold out and this was the closest thing. The high protein content keeps her really full and she took a liking to it right away.
