When switching diets, it’s important to transition your dog or puppy as it takes time for her digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ORIJEN. Over a 5-7 day period, gradually mix in ORIJEN, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% ORIJEN.

Picky Eater Approves
By Tina on Feb 12, 2021
I have a 11 lbs maltipoo and he’s such a picky eater. I’ve tried all sorts of brands of kibbles and he wasn’t fond of any of them. We’ve purchased Kirkland, Science Hills, Blue Buffalo Life Protection, Taste of the Wild, & Merrick’s. I decided to order Orijen due to the list of natural ingredients. I purchased the original and opened the bag and noticed that the kibble size is larger than any other brands I purchased. Didn’t realize that there’s a smaller breed version as well in the pink packaging. Overall, my dog is enjoying his new kibbles and it’s larger than what he’s used to eating but I believe he thinks they’re treats. I decided to get him the small breeds one he loves it just as I have a 11 lbs maltipoo and he’s such a picky eater. I’ve tried all sorts of brands of kibbles and he wasn’t fond of any of them. Quality food
By LisaG on Feb 17, 2021
I’ve only been feeding this for a couple of weeks so long term benefit I can’t comment on. My small dogs switched over easy with no stomach upsets. However, all 3 of my large dogs had some stomach bowel problems for about a week even though introduced slowly. But I gave them some boiled brown rice with it and after about 1 week all problems resolved.

Orijen Dog Food
By LuGar on Feb 19, 2021 Top 100 Contributor
3 years ago I called chewy.com for help on feeding my shih tzu who would not eat her food. A rep recommended this dog food and sure enough she loved it. She started getting picky again and I had taken her off the Orijen, but we are back on it once again to stay on it. Thanks chewy

Very good food
By Andy on Feb 17, 2021
I got this food because I have an elderly standard dachshund who was eating but losing weight eating Blue Buffalo. He likes the food and it seems to be working. My other 2 dachshunds are picky and they are still picky. They eat it but can still turn their noses up at it.

Orijen Dry Dog Food
By Boops on Feb 16, 2021
My dog likes this food. I've tried a few other flavors on her and they all smell like fish when you open the bag, haha. So if you can handle the fish smell, then this food might be good for your dog too. I like the ingredients and feel good giving it to my dog.

Food is probably the best food out there the quality of the ingredients is great. My dog eats half a cup per her size. It used to be a cup when it was taste of the wild .... My Shih Tzu loves it and even the cat sneaks a bite..... May be ordering the Orijen Cat Food

By Beth on Feb 23, 2021
I swear by this food...my black lab-her coat is gorgeous due to the food. I feed all 4 of my dogs (different breeds) this food...no food allergies. The food is costly but worth it in the long run.

Rockys new favorite
By Seana on Feb 17, 2021
My Australian Shepherd Rocky loves his new kibbles. He can have a sensitive tummy with other food we’ve tried. This one has an excellent ingredient list so I’m happy to pay more for good quality food that he loves.

Best Dog Food Ever
By Christo on Feb 14, 2021
This is the only food my dog has ever had, since she was a puppy. It’s a little more money per month, but the ingredients are top notch. Nutrition is exceptional, and the 100% grain-free is a plus, which creates less waste.

So happy Chewy is offering Origen
By Linda on Feb 1, 2021
I have been feeding our pups and cats Origen six fish for years. I buy all my pet supplies from Chewy but had to go elsewhere for the Origen food. So happy I can now add to my monthly subscription order. One stop shopping is the best! Thank you Chewy!
