Why can't I cut to about to about 1/3 inch on terrier with oster turbo 10 blade
Answer by ChewyJun 30, 2017
The size 10 blade is used for the pads of the feet, belly, rear end, under and around the eyes and lips for all breeds.

How often do I use the clipper grease? Not the oil. The grease for the Motor. And where do I place it and how much?
Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2019
Only clippers with a universal motor require greasing - for example, the Classic 76, Model 10 or Turbo 111. In order to grease the clipper, remove the front cover plate (nameplate) to access to the gear box. This will allow you to determine if the clipper needs to be greased. If clipper does need grease, use about 1/2 teaspoon. Fill the gear box with the grease. Make sure the grease covers the gears. Most of our products come packed with a grease tube.

How can i attach the 10 piece comb set to this blade? They do not see to fit in any which way
Answer by ChewyJun 19, 2019
With the clipper facing you, place the pad of your thumb on the blade and swiftly push the top of the blade away from the clipper. This will make the blade '"tongue" or "blade assembly" open and you can slide the blade off. off the "tongue" and replace the new blade on the "tongue". With the "tongue" open, turn clipper on and then push the blade towards the clipper (shut), this will ensure the proper engagement of the blade on the driving tip. To put the blade back on, first, ensure that the rectangular metal "tongue" or blade hinge assembly is in standing position or open. If it is closed, insert a flat head screwdriver under the tongue and applying enough force, push the hinge back to standing position. Once this is complete, slide the blade on the tongue, turn your clipper on and push the blade down and snap the hinge assembly closed.

No chewing or burning

I groom my boy myself. He is very well behaved until the clippers get hot...I ordered these in hopes they would cut thru quickly without getting hot and having to let them cool because a 3 hour cut is not easy on me or my boy. These did the trick. They cut thru his thick hair easily and I'm able to get him cut in half the time. These do heat up after a while, but they cut so great that I'm nearly finished by the time they start getting hot.

Casing gets too hot

The blades seem to be fine when cutting, it's the case that I'm holding that gets way too hot. I haven't used mine for about 2 years because it's a literal pain to use.

I do not recommend

The clippers got super hot minutes into clipping. Couldn’t finish cutting the hair. I wouldn’t not recommend spending the money on these

Don’t deny the brand due to bad reviews!

I work in the veterinary field, and have for 10 years. EVERY clinic I have worked in has used this brand of clippers, and the clinic I currently work at has two of these specifically. They are used for a multitude of things; shaving areas with wounds, pre-op prep, catheter prep, grooming- they do it all, but furthermore, DO IT WELL. I’ve been at my current clinic for 2 years and these clippers were there before my time, but in my two years, we have never had to replace them. We have replaced blades, but strictly from them being dropped and damaged. I’m really shocked by the negative reviews as they really are wonderful, durable clippers. I don’t think it’s coincidence that the 5 clinics I’ve worked at have all used them either. My bottom line point I suppose, is not to be discouraged from purchasing this brand due to reviews on Chewy. I have never in all my professional experience heard anything negative about Oster clippers. Everybody has highly recommended them, and the only reason I stumbled upon these reviews is because I finally decided to purchase one for personal use. I have a miniature poodle/Pomeranian mix with a distrustful temperament and habit of biting anybody but me; she was horrifically neglected and luckily surrendered to our clinic just in time to save her. I don’t feel comfortable bringing her to a groomer as I don’t want anybody to get hurt, so I’ve had to learn the art of grooming at home. The cheap off brand pair I bought initially do the trick, but I need something better. Working with these everyday for 2 years, I know they get the job done WELL.

Clippers Overheat!

I bought these to touch up a horse that had already been clipped. I couldn't use for more than 2 minutes because they got too hot to handle. I used Kool Lube for the blades but just couldn't handle the hot clipper casing. Oster used to make great clippers. Will go back to the Andis.

Used clippers!

My first order from Chewie came with dog hair in it. Clearly the $134 clippers I paid for were sent to me used. I will be returning them immediately.
