I did some research and decided these were the best clippers for keeping my shih tzu's coat short in the summer. They worked as well as I hoped, and made it so much easier to do a haircut, with no problem cutting through her dense, fine coat. My first order from Chewie came with dog hair in it. Clearly the $134 clippers I paid for were sent to me used. I will be returning them immediately.

Do not buy
By Dogmom on Nov 29, 2020
One of the worst clippers I've ever had. Worked 5x then stopped working. Bought new blades, nothing. My $25 clippers work better.

Waste of money
By kyolanda on Jul 23, 2020
I purchased an Oster Turbo A5 clippers which only worked 6 months. I replaced the blade, but still with no luck. I purchased another Oster and the first time I used it, I found it to need a new blade. After reading reviews, I noticed a lot of people were having no luck with the Oster blade. I tried an Andis blade and it worked great after that. The clippers does get Very Very hot fast.

Get hot quick and very loud
By chews on Mar 24, 2020
I bought these for my mini horses. I washed and blow dryed my 33 inch stallion before taking down his winter coat today. It took more than two hours and two #ten blades to get him about 85% done. For real! Read the reviews, they get HOT! Not the blades, but the clippers. And they are loud. I knew they wouldn’t be finishing clippers, but they suck as take down clippers as well. I am pretty disappointed for the price. They do the job I guess. Make sure it’s a SUPER clean coat and give yourself plenty of time.

Awful clipper
By Dissatisfied on Feb 22, 2020
We were really excited to get what we thought were professional clippers for grooming our Wheaten Terrier. Right out of the box, the clippers were great.. for about 10 minutes. I read about other’s complain about the clippers getting too hot but that part didn’t bother me. What bothers me is that in addition to getting hot, the clippers also seized and rendered themselves useless until they cooled down again. I will be requesting a full refund.
