I need to know the length of coat that each blade4 is used for. What blade would be good for say 3/4 of an inch? I have a Portuguese Water Dog that groomers either shave all his coat off or make him look like a poodle.

The size 10 leaves hair 1/16 inch, size 15 leaves hair 3/64 inch, size 30 leaves hair 1/50 inch, size 40 leaves hair 1/100 inch, and size 50 leaves hair 1/125 inch.
I tried to change the blade. The assembly fell apart. How does it fit back together?

The blade should slide on easily and snap back into place.
can these blades be sharpened ?

Blades should be soaked in a solution to break down oil and grime, and then a detail grinder is used to reshape and sharpen the teeth.
what blade size will leave my dogs fur about 1/2 inch long?

Within the Oster Cryogen-X blades, the size 4F will leave the coat 3/8 inch, the closest to the desired 1/2 inch.

Clips with no effort!

We are clipping my cat's matted hair. this works beautifully, clipping easily.

Not pleased

I have ordered these Oster blade 10 many times. This time the blade cut as a used blade. Not a clean cut at all. Very disappointed. All the time and effect for a crappy cut.

Worked great

I oiled the blade and sprayed some coolant on before I began. Blade cut perfectly. Had to be careful as my old blade had gotten so dull.

blade not cutting

Received on may 6th, blade is TOTALLY DULL WILL NOT CUT HAIR AT ALL, purchased oster blade many times from different places with no problem at all. Either send me a new blade or refund me. If I could give it a no star I would Let me know. thank you

Oster 5 blade replacement

I groomed my show dogs back in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's then went dogless until August of 2020. Dug out my grooming equipment and saw my 10 blade was chipped. I was surprised to find I was able to order a direct replacement for equipment as old as it is. Love how cool this blade seems to run. What a great cut it is providing for grooming my English Cocker.

Does not work at all

I've been using Oster clippers for years, but this year, have had to replace it 3 times, only to find out it was the blade, not the clippers that wasn't working. I called Oster warranty about the blade and they did verify they had been getting several complaints, yet they still sell them.
