Hardly any squeak
Sent the two squeaky toys to my brother’s cat, and he said neither one really squeaked that loud unless you shake it pretty hard. Disappointing to say the least.
disappointed
I originally bought one of these for my cats, but the Rottie took it over and loved it. When she broke it I was happy to find a replacement on Chewy. However, the sound makes a faint buzzing noise like it’s about to die and not the squeaking noise it’s supposed to. Dog still plays with it but it’s not 100% as it should be. Disappointed.
Dogs love it, too!
My 20-pound schnoodle loves this toy so much that he doesn't chew it. He cries when I take it away (sometimes you need a break from the chirping). It's his favorite for playing fetch with. But it will get slimy and filthy, so you may need a spare. I just ordered some in the dark-colored mouse version.
Does not squeak
Add said it makes mouse sounds but the battery must be dead.

Our kitty loved this little guy instantly and proudly brought him to us in the middle of the night as a ‘present’. We heard the distinctive squeak at around 3:00 a.m. and there she was waiting to show off her prize. Just adorable!
Java's favorite toy - and he's not into toys
My cat is generally 'meh' on toys like this unless they have a bit of 'nip in them. I was a couple of bucks away from free shipping, I like narwhals and it ended up in the cart. The narwhal quickly became his favorite toy. I actually bought it because I assumed Lucky, our kitten, would be all over it. Lucky will turn anything into a toy, but if it's already cat sized, even better. Nope, this one was clearly Java's. After a few months of chirping letting us know where Java was in the house with narwhal, my husband found this toy in the water bowl. Oh no! Now it won't chirp! So he put it on the bathroom vanity to dry it out. When he determined that it didn't make noise anymore, he threw it away. Java, a cat who has NEVER foraged in our garbage for anything dug narwhal out and happily played with it again. Then, narwhal took another swim. And another. And another. We began joking that Java knew the narwhal was a sea creature and was trying to return it to its water home. Narwhal will go missing for a few days, but if any of us finds it and places it where Java can find this toy, he's happily playing once again. I just ordered another one, but he's content with it, even without the squeaker!

best toy for my dogs and the neighbor's dog!!! wish it was bigger and made for dogs too. Im still amazed dogs loves cat toys. (more their own dog toys)
Highly recommend
Recently bought this toy after a year or more of owning the sloth Play-N-Squeek toy which has consistently been our cats favorite toy. This one is a hit as well! So far he's loved all the Play-N-Squeek toys we've bought!
Disappointing
My cat loves to play fetch with squeaky toys, I threw this one time for him and it stopped squeaking and it was not an inexpensive toy.
My Cat's Go-To Toy
This is one of my cat's favorite toys. The squeaking appeals to him and the toy is a good size. The toy is designed so that it squeaks whether he shakes it while holding it in his mouth or batting it across the floor. It's fairly sturdy and lasts quite awhile even with daily play. We bought another one when the first one wore out; he was thrilled when we took it out of the packaging and pounced on it immediately when we dropped it on the floor for him. When this one eventually wears out, we'll buy another for sure.
