Everyone's Favorite
My sister recommended "this ugly thing" to me after her 3 cats would fight over who got to play with it. My cat was slow to warm up to it but it soon became her FAVORITE toy. She would jump up with it and wrestle it. Carry it around. Deliver it to me as a gift every day. No matter where we would be in the house this platypus would end up by me. Eventually she ripped it apart and I had to retire it. But I'm here to repurchase her favorite toy!
Platypus kicker cat toy
the only way my cat would play with it was if I sprinkled it with catnip, nothing else to do with it...boring toy! (good size though).
Not Their Favorite
This toy is not one of the toys my girls play with the most. I don't know why. It sure looks great to me, but I'm not a cat. I have seen Li'l Bit using it as a kick toy, but the other two girls just ignore it. I guess it's just a case of "you can't win 'em all."
Good and bad
Much bigger than I expected, which isn’t a bad thing. The fabric and crinkle is very interesting to my cat. However, after just a couple play sessions, the side ripped open. Also, it would be great if this contained catnip. The main downside is having to reinforce the stitching yourself, or risk your cat eating the stuffing.
The platypus has gone missing!
This was my kittens favorite toy in the whole box! And now - sadly - he has disappeared. I am confident he will resurface. And his absence is undoubtedly because he was the favorite and hidden!
Cute, but....
Jane loved it. It is very cute, makes a good noise, and she played with right away. However, she tore the stuffing out in three places right away and the little paws were chewed off. I sewed it so she can still play with it. Also wish it were larger.
Both Fish and Shoe LOVE this!!
This wasn’t an out of the box love but within several minutes and with gentle showing of the toy and its crinkle sound, both my cats Fish and Shoe became really engaged! Tossing in the air, chewing, grasping. Placed an order for a second so they can both have fun :)
kittens love this
Our foster kittens went nuts over this toy. Vanjie in particular, carries the platypus in his mouth, growling, not letting anyone else approach him if he's busy playing with this.
Cute, but doesn't last long
Cute but my kitties destroyed it quickly exposing a lot of stuffing
Makes an excellent headrest
After a hard day of kicking this doubles as an excellent headrest.
