The quality of this treat puzzle is really great - the pucks sit snug but not so tight that they are difficult to slide. Would still recommend using with human supervision as I could see how some chewing could cause the plastic bits to warp and not slide so nicely. Our 3 year old cat looks forward to 'sushi time' every night now, and we feel great adding some extra mental stimulation to treat time. Cleaning has been easy so far, we are just using dried kibble, but I wouldn't suggest using anything wet as it would be hard to clean underneath the sliding pucks (since they're not removable).
Our 1yr old cat loves this puzzle! No assembly required :) I just have to hold it in place, as our cat can easily push the puzzle around as he tries to love the sushi (he's a big boy) so that is my only complaint, but that is me nitpicking lol Great puzzle, helps our cat stay stimulated! Love it :)
We bought this for our curious boy, Henry, and he was quick to master the puzzle. Not only does this help slow down his eating at meals, it helps with separation anxiety when we leave the house, The tray is well made, with cute sushi covers that slide both directions (with paw or nose) to reveal treats.
My girls caught on relatively quickly, but the design does not leave enough room for them to slide the sushi rolls completely out of their way and they are more prone to dropping their kibble and it getting stuck in the grooves. It is a cute concept, but i will be swapping this one out for a different feeder first chance I get.
A few of the reviews talked about how easy this one was for their pets to figure out. It’s been 72 hours and none of my cats can figure this one out yet. Gonna keep working with them but prefer the leaf game over this one to start with.
My Yorkie absolutely loves this puzzle. It took her about 5 mins to figure it out and she used her nose and paws to get to the treats. Now when there are no treats, she stands next to the puzzle and looks right at me for a refill lol. Highly recommend getting small treats to fit into the openings because your dog will want to play nonstop!
Decided to get an "enrichment" toy for my kitties for them to use their brains a little because they're smart and seem bored with their regular toys sometimes. Knew they'd be treat motivated and the sushi tray look is so cute. Watching them sniff and think and figure it out is so awesome.
I got this toy for my 1 year old Scottish fold because he loves food and is super smart! I’ve taught him how to sit, touch and high five and I figured this would be a fun easy game for him! He absolutely loves it and I usually fill it on the days that I go to work and it’s always completely empty when I get home. I’ve watched him figure it out and it’s a piece of cat to him now! My other cat doesn’t really care about it but he’s super picky and just enjoys to lay around and have you feed him yourself haha
It was welcomed warmly and I use it everyday. He seems to need to lick his paw a lot while playing with this puzzle. Not sure what that is about.
My adult pit bulldog mix has enjoyed this toy. It takes her less than 5 minutes to complete the puzzle but still offers some element of interaction and sniffing. Our older feline friend did not have interest, but she is set in her ways.
