    Don't fit well

    I have a 19 year old Bichon. When she was in her prime, she was 12 lbs. Now she's down to 7.5 lbs. She has lost her muscle mass, so no meat on her haunches. She is narrowest at her rear. How do diapers stay on? Counting on the waist to be the narrowest point so that it doesn't slip down their rears I have a 19 year old Bichon. When she was in her prime, she was 12 lbs. Counting on the waist to be the narrowest point so that it doesn't slip down their rears and thighs. These MIGHT stay on if the tail hole was placed farther down. But where it is, there is not enough diaper coming up around her waist and back, so it slips off. When are most dogs incontinent? When they're old. And many senior dogs lose weight. If your dog has retained its thigh muscles, these might stay on. There was another brand I can't find anymore that had more fabric on the back and they stayed on better. I'm now using regular human diapers and cutting out the tail holes...With the velcro straps and more fabric riding up higher, they stay on perfectly. This brand needs to read their user reviews and reposition the tail hole and use velcro tabs. … more
