Questions & Answers

How is the bottom (floor panel) attached to the tent? Zipper all the way, permanently attached, or velcro? My cats can get out of the play pen because the bottom was velcro and they get through in between.
Answer by ChewyOct 30, 2017
The Compound tent area is all one piece, so the floor is not detachable. The tunnel may be removed, it is kept on with a zipper.

Can you attach more tunnels, if you can, do you sell additional tunnels?
Answer by ChewyNov 15, 2017
Additional tunnels may be added. We also carry the ABO Gear Fun Run which is sold separately.

Hi Does it come with the sane bags in the picture? I don’t have a yard. I have a concrete patio so pegs will not work for us.
Answer by ChewyJun 02, 2020
This tent and tunnel comes with stakes to secure it to the ground.

Is this safe to leave outside in the rain?
Answer by ChewyApr 18, 2019
This compound is made of polyester and okay if it gets rained on. Polyester is also hydrophobic, meaning it will not absorb water.

Love this tent and tube

In our area bobcats and young coyotes have killed many cats. I live in a wooded cat heaven but I did not want my cats to just be bait. We have used this tent/tunnel combo for over 2 years through winter and summer in Ohio. We attached it to a cat door and they love to come and go, even in the snow. The tent and tunnel have 2 small holes fixed with duct tape. The tunnel is showing wear around the rings so we are replacing the unit but it really could last longer with tape over the rings. Great netting. I wish there was a second door for another tube!!

Habitat compound

My cats don't like it. Their claws constantly get stuck in the mesh. It might be good for one cat. Awful for two adult cats. Even a couple kittens is questionable. When their claws get stuck they start chewing holes in the mesh. It is smaller than anticipated though built decent. Also when the animals are scared it can be very difficult to get them out of the compound.

Amazing product

I love this enclosure. I lost my pool cage during hurricane Ian so my cat was not able to lounge in the lanai all day which is her favorite thing to do. This tent pops right open, is big and roomy and collapses in a snap. The tunnel can stand alone so I was able to set up the 2 pieces on opposite ends if the lanai. My cat could then stalk the various bunnies, geckos and birds in a safe environment and not be locked in the house. We were both extremely happy.

Great So Far!

We previously bought a cat tent that tore up pretty quickly within the course of just months. This tent so far has been much sturdier and intact. It's also even easier to expand and fold up. Our cats are obsessed with wanting to go outside so this has been a great purchase.

The tunnel door

I like the idea of this but the netting tore in the first week and the wire in the tunnel end is coming out. I feel I paid to much for it to rip in the first week. HELP

Kittens love it

Have a catico but this is great to let them out in the yard for a change of scenery. Plan to get another tunnel to attach to it for next year. Keeps them safe from predictor birds in our area.

Very happy with the product

I ordered this yesterday mid morning and by the time I got home from work today it was by my door. The expected shipping and delivery said 2 days but I was happy when it only took one (and we live in Vermont, almost all of our deliveries from other places takes a day or two extra than the predicted time). So I went on to look for something to use in the meantime. I set it up immediately, in my living room to get the cats use to it and to make sure it worked well. My cats loved it. Super easy to set up and to zip the tunnel to the tent was easier than it sounds. My grey cat went right in and brought his toy. Our orange cat who is scared of his own shadow went in when he saw his brother in it. They played pretty hard inside and it held them in. Obviously no toy is indestructible and cats can eventually break through the mesh but with monitoring it should work well and last more than long enough for us to get our money's worth. Our orange cat is a little bit of a fool and couldn't figure out that he could come out through the tunnel so he walked into the walls a few times but he eventually figured it out. We tried it out outside and they loved laying in the sun. We walk them with harnesses and leashes so when we have them in the tent we will have the harnesses on them and be monitoring them just in case they find a way to break free but I don't expect there to be any issues. And the tent is bigger than I thought it would be From looking at the dimensions online. I could easily sit in the tent with both cats if I wanted to. And we have one 10lb cat and one 18lb cat. The tent has a carry/storage bag and the tent has its own carry/storage bag which makes storing and carrying it so easy! Honestly we were planning a catio eventually but that takes time to build and is expensive. Had never considered a tent until we had the need to have the cats out of the house for a few hours soon that led me to purchasing this. I love that it's lightweight and easily taken apart and put back up. As long as my cats don't break the mesh netting I'd say it's a comparable alternative to a catio.

Great idea, but mesh is not tough enough

So, after 13 months of using this on our deck, except for the coldest winter months, we are glad we got it, but........ we are now in the process of patching the holes in the mesh with window screen patch. Our cat is 15 months old, and is only 10.2 lbs, but she was able to put holes in the mesh with her claws and teeth. One of the holes was getting to the point where she was close to being able to get out. Note that she is fixed, so that her effort in making holes is only because she is an active young cat (psychco woman).

Awesome Tent

I’ve been using this all summer. I was worried about the cat claws ripping the mesh and it hasn’t happened yet! My cats have all their claws and they were scratching all over the tent and it’s still perfect. So easy to zip and at up. Not sure why people can’t zip ups the tunnel to the tent. It’s either operator error or a defect. Highly recommended this tent is.
