This feeder works great! I ordered another As a result! Highly recommend!
I got the XL of this for my big boy and it fits great, we haven’t taken it out yet but he’s comfortable in it and we can’t wait to try it out! The other dog in the picture is wearing a different outward hound backpack that fit his measurements better.
Over all it's a great pack. Seems well made and looks great. Got the large/Xlarge for my 70 pound GSD and it's a little too tight on the back side so sadly she cant use this. But for a dog smaller then her I'd recommend!
Awesome little pack! Stays put with an even load, even when my dog has the zoomies! I've washed it once in the laundry and it still looks brand new. Nice bright color, easy to see in low light. The handle on top is nice to have when manoeuvring steep trails or for more control when you come across other hikers. I would not reccomend clipping the leash to the front "no pull" chest ring because of how it will impact the dogs gait causing more strain on joints etc. I got a small/medium for a my fit 40lb dog. Great little pack for a day hike and you can't beat the price!
I got this for a good price, hoping it was larger than the Daypack model. (There seems to be limited information re: capacity on these.) It is substantially larger than the Daypack with larger pockets and a much more substantial harness/suspension. The XL fits my full-size Aussie well; it will fit but is a bit long for my chubby Beagle/Aussie Corgi mix. My wager is that the other reviewer was having problems with the compression straps that run over the top. I love this feature, as it holds the load nicely. There are three other straps that are well-padded; one around the neck that connects to the chest strap, and then one around the belly. I believe if my mix was a boy, this strap would be problematic. Also, I have to believe this insulates somewhat, as the padding, while breathable nylon, is thicker than the mesh on the Daypack model.
The material this bag is made from is extremely light and was only carrying a flexi leash when it ripped right open while my dog was running. Very poor quality, it also had a tendency to lean to the heavier side, despite many adjustments.
We have great danes and we have one from the same company that we purchased years ago (going strong) but now that we have 2 Danes, there's only one pack. The older Dane is like totally bummed that "her" pack is on the younger Dane who is being trained as a service animal. So, we wanted to buy another so there would not be any more "sadness." It's serious as the older Dane brings us all of the other parts (leashes, booties, etc.) and puts them at the front door for us to put them on the OTHER Dane. Well, this one is WAY TO CHEESY Folks, more like a smaller, thinner, very dainty Canine Not a WORKING Dog's vest. Going Back.
Every month since I purchased this item for my dog I get the courage to try and get it on her! This is a maze of straps.... I wish I could return it but have lost the receipt. I am not happy with this item and it will sit gathering dust FOREVER unless I can find someone willing to take it off my hands and have a challenge. My husband and I have tried over and over to get this on our dog... NO LUCK
